How hard is implement a level requeriment to use

megaphones? Im starting to thinking that IMC is cooperating with bots/goldsellers.

Restrict Megaphones to lvl100 or above, or for those people who complete at last 5~10 main missions.

Bot problem solved, goldseller problem solved.

will be only for a bit of time, you know that bot can reach those limit. And for a bit i was thinking remove the free option megaphone, but will not work too has they buy them right now in pack of 10. The best way to fix that problem is fixing the players mentality in the west who create that thing. The only other way is kill silver trading at all, but that mean remove the market like Diablo 3.

You are wrong, bots cant do quests.

bot cant do quest? you talking about 1995 botting, explain me how a bot in your mind cant do quest?

Bots can reach that level yeah, but it’s completely unproductive to do so on a bot you’re spamming megaphones with - as those are just sitting ducks for a ban every few hours or so (assuming IMC isn’t garbage, which’s debatable).

Megaphones need both a cooldown in-between uses and a level req i believe. They should actually be removed altogether imo, but that’s never gonna happen considering it’s a monetization feature for IMC.

It’s also hilarious how the shout chat, party chat and marketplace are STILL linked and they can’t take 1 down without bringing the others down with it.

It should be lvl 50 since thats when the first dungeon is. People may need to use it to find another party member or something.

You can turn off shout chat by itself.

You can -hide- the shout chat. Your client’s still being bombarded by all of its messages and you’ll experience freezes if someone is spamming it hard enough (even if you can’t actually see it, and also has the top scrolling bar turned off). The only way to effectively stop messages on shout chat from reaching your game is to block the sender.

This is also not what my post is talking about at all. I’m talking about how they just bring Shout chat down at times - meaning party chat and marketplace go down with it. In fact they just did it for a bit a few minutes ago, and they did it through most of icbt2 - those 3 features would be down for days at a time.

Oh i see. Didn’t realize thats what you were talking about.

No need to restrict.
We just need proper GMs, who will be online with banhammer.

Level restrictions don’t actually hurt bots is the thing. All that needs to happen is for a gigantic hoard of bots, a few hundred or thousand, just needs to reach the required level. You will then have bots constantly filling up all the low level areas as they kill things and impede other players.

As others have said, the only genuine way to combat bots is active moderation, and I’ve yet to see a single MMO do it.

Currently the same way that bots are random and random names , it only would create other accounts , which is what they do.
Nor ban by Ip would be enough.

Its not about being hard. Its about finding a REAL solution. If they increased the cap, it would only be even more player restrictive. The bots would find a way around it and we would be back to square one.

Best way would be ban keywords

Nvm, forgot this, cant work

you are wrong. bots can do anything a human can do

idk how bots work, but you cant move by clicking and there isn’t any automoving, so how would bots be able to quest and attack? unless some guy maps a bot the whole leveling journey, i think its pretty difficult.

could be 100% wrong lol
