Just as the title says. I’m currently using +8 Lydeka with 2x 5 star yellow gem. its AoE Ratio is helping me a ton with Vubbe Fighter Gauntlet, but as I’m closing in to going 170, I’ve been looking at 170 level spears and a lot of them are either not available, or just not as good as what Lydeka is already offering. Only option left was Elements, but it doesn’t have AoE ratio like Lydeka does, but it has 4 different elemental damage, 56 each. I’m not sure if those damage will scale through Cata’s skill. I’m planning on making +15 of either weapon, but i can’t decide on whether Elements is good upgrade from lydeka or not.
elements is really strong, its bonus damages add up to +224 thats effectively added to both min and max of your autos, and is also added on each hit from your skills
think of it as having permanent lvl 15 blessing with max atribute, only its +224 mixed damage instead of +170 holy damagae
Question is, My main AoE is not Auto, and its mostly comes from Bash/Earth Wave/Doom Spike. Thats why I have this doubt on Elements. And from what I’ve been experiencing, Elemental additional damage only applies to auto, Unless I’m wrong about it.
nope its all skills, you know why everyone is rolling with arde daggers right? that +153 fire damage adds to all skills the same with elements 224 mixed damage
you dont need to be concerned about aoe ratio at the higher levels imo, you’ll be fighting really tanky elite mobs one on one most of the time, if you somehow get swarmed or if you decide to swashbuckle 8-10 mobs with 45k hp and get yourself in a pickle and you need the aoe you can switch to your lydeka instead
Hmmmm that sounds good. I was looking back with Sacraments not applying to double punch. Anyway that helps me a lot. I will probably keep using Vubbe Gauntlet to compensate the AoE lose, or Roxona Plate Gaunt.

hmm you got some sort of proof? the affixes on both arde and elements are both the same word for word, baring the differences in elemental damage
ive done tests with a valtas morning star(+27 holy damage) and it works just like arde
i dont see a reason why elements would work differently. if it in fact doesn’t then id like to see some sort of write up, we are after all testing the game.
I have a +9 lydeka with 5star red gem, clean elements deals more (a little bit more) dmg than +9 lydeka
