How does Individual Party EXP share work?

So I found this thread regarding Equal EXP sharing

My question is - what about individual? Does penalty still apply?
The reason I’m asking this is because I’m a Priest and I was wondering if I help some newbies, can I party with them and just cast Blessing/Sacrament/Stone Skin on them to help them level (altruistic mode) and not let them get exp-penalized?

Bumping this, would like to know what By Level setting means too in party settings.

Another shameless bump.

Is a lvl 150 partying with a group of lvl 90 friends at the lvl 90 dungeon going to make run worthless for them?

try get in together as same pt and leave the pt once inside? not sure if u get kicked out of the dg or not XD
