How does finestra work?

The description of finestra is applies an additional critical rate to your spear attack, here’s the situation:

my critical rate is 4000, enemy’s critical resistance is 3000, and the formula is Crit chance % = (your critical rate / enemy’s critical resistance)^0.6 -1

so, my critical chance without finestra is (4000/3000)^0.6-1=0.1884

now with finestra, which offers 48% additional critical rate, what will my critical chance be:

will it be (4000*1.48/3000)^0.6-1=0.5036

or 0.1884*1.48=0.2788?

It is the latter one, Finestra is a mutiplier for your final crit chance, if it was additive Finestra + Zega Spear alone would give you cap crit rate haha

Finestra increases your Critical Rate, though it will not show in your stats window.

I’m aware of that thread, the conclusions are incorrect. To test this, go to an enemy you’d otherwise have 0% Crit Chance against, then use Finestra to bring yourself over that enemies Crit Resistance. If Finestra increased Crit Chance you’d still have a 0% Crit Chance, if Finestra increased Crit Rate, you’d begin Critting. In my example above you can see this to be true: Yellow Leafnut’s have 638 Crit Resistance, I have 500, so I do not Crit. After using Finestra, I have 785 (+57%), and be…
