How does Chaplain buffs work?

Hi guys, I have some questions regarding how the buffs from Chaplain class work. I appreciate if you can help clear some of them.

  1. Last Rites and Arspergillum refer to caster’s Sacrament and Aspersion levels respectivelly. Does it scales only buff strenght ? Level 15 Aspersion means higher damage from Aspergillum buff than level 1 Aspersion ? The same with Last Rites ? And what happens if caster doesn’t have Aspersion ?

  2. About Deploy Capella. Does it take caster’s level in Aspersion, Monstrance, Blessing, Sacrament and Stone Skin for the strenght of it’s buff ? So having level 1 Monstrance and level 10 Sacrament makes Deploy Capella give buff equivalent to these levels ? And if caster doesn’t have Blessing, does that mean Deploy Capella’s buff will not give Blessing’s bonus in it’s buff ?

  3. Still on Deploy Capella. What’s the difference between “Cappella duration” and “Effect duration” ?

  4. About Magnus Exorcismus. Does it create another circle of damage or just change Exorcise’s circle ?

Thank you all for your help in clarifying it for me.

This explains question #3

Capella duration is how long the table stays up —
effect duration is how long the buffs the table gives will last.
You can go back up to the table to refresh the buff effect duration after it runs out for instance.
(for as long as the capella lasts)

  1. Not sure about last rites, as it needs to be tested more before i can help you on that.
But aspergillum does deal higher dmg with a higher lvl aspersion.
If you don’t have aspersion it just uses it’s lvl 1 dmg, but you won’t get the enhance attribute from aspersion so i would not recommend it.

  2. Casters level, if the skill is level 0 it will be treated as lvl 1 instead.
It will always cast the 5 buffs.

  3. Capella itself lasts 60 seconds, during that time it will attempt to buff all nearby allies with the 5 buffs for x seconds. But will not refresh said buffs if they are in effect already.

ps, capella itself can be attacked and destroyed.

  1. It uses one active exorcise tile on the ground to create a pillar of light.
Which is difficult to pull off considering exorcise ends the second it hits a enemy, and magnus is a short range aoe skill.

Was it changed then? Because in the video it doesn’t overwrite Last Rites but it does overwrite Blessing for example.

No, i meant that it simply checks if the buffs given by Capella are active.
It ignores and overrides the buffs you cast yourself.

Not sure how it works with spell buffs though.

Thank you for your answers.

What do you mean do not recommend it ? Does having Aspersion buff on make it impossible to cast Aspergillum ?

I meant i recommend putting points into aspersion so you can grab the +100% dmg attribute.

Losing out on that for saving 1 point seems silly.
