How do you hit monsters with Chaplain when you can't?

I’m going for Cleric1>Priest3>Chaplain>Cleric>Plague Doctor.

I’m going 3 SPR : 1 CON. So far all good except I noticed that I miss once out of maybe 20 hits which is fine. But the reason I’m going Chaplain is to have some dps as solo and I love the concept of being straight up SPR doing dps. But whether you go INT or SPR, nobody is going to invest in DEX. So if Chaplain is all about auto attack damage, how are you going to attack high level monsters with high evasion when you have like no accuracy other than from gloves?? I’m at low level so I’m just assuming for now and kinda worried.

Equip and upgrade the latest gloves

Alternatively, slot some accuracy gems on your cafrisun gloves or buy some cheap accuracy headgears.

But how do you up your accuracy with no DEX when you’re level 200+ ? Will gems and gloves be enough? Or is Aspergillum auto attack considered magic damage in which case its 100% accuracy? BTW I’m not using cafrisun set. It is that important?

Monstrance + high level gloves + gems are enough.
My path is the same as yours, except the stats. I currently have 170 con, the rest spr, and I am currently a lvl 239 Plague Doctor.

Monsters at lvl 210+ hit hard, so you might want to replace the cafri with high level plates (high accu) at that level.

Thanks for the replies guyz. How important is Plague Doctor? I’m actually going Plague Doctor for the costume. It kind of seems out of place with this build. It’s not really dps helpful nor is it really support.

Hah! The awesomesauce black costume is also my main reason why I choose the class! In pvp, PDs are needed because of Bloodletting. As for PvE, you could always cast Debuffs + Inceneration after the Pelt uses the block stance + taunt.

Edit: My inceneration still deals 1.8k to 2.9k per tick on monsters, depending on the magic defense of the monster, which helps with clearing. I don’t have any point allocated to int.

Dont listen all that BS, you cant fix the low accuracy. Good news are that there are just 3 or 4 mobs that can dodge you (Them rambears!), kill them whit incinerate and cure. Is not a problem because all the mobs whit higth evasion happen to be weak for magic and have low HP.

And the other BS, plate not gonna make you more tanky, just give a little boost to HP. Defenses on this game are a joke if you still didnt notice.

I’m currently using this path and rest assured that you’ll be hitting any and all monster without having to put a point in dex.

I haven’t put a single point in it and I haven’t noticed any lack of accuracy (even on mobs much higher than me). Dex is used more to increase evasion and critical rate, which are things you do not need.

Yes, aspergillium is considered a magic attack. However, it cannot trigger damage if your target dodges you. The same goes for sacrament and last rites. You need to land a hit in order to trigger their damage.

And again, I reassure you. You will always hit your target even if you don’t have a single point in dex. The only time I started noticing a lack in accuracy is when I PvP with high leveled, Dex hoarding archers and swordies.

Anyway, with regards to plague doctor, I love it. The bloodletting is so useful at keeping your party immune in maps and dungeons with monsters that freeze or silence you. And in PvE, you can always have the skill up 100% of the time. But I suggest only using it when necessary because of the buff limit.

Healing factor is also amazing especially when timed properly. My tanks never die whenever they receive healing factor. Needs to be timed right though, a lot of swordies aren’t too bright. They jump away from safety wall, avoid my healing factor, are blind to my heal tiles, etc. It’s a full time job taking care of them. Especially when they don’t know how to play in a team.

So, I hope I put your mind at ease. And one last thing, if you’re going full support, I say shave some point out of incineration and add them up to healing factor and blood letting for 100% uptime with divine might. You’re not really a damage dealer but a supporter. You might as well go big or go home. Don’t get me wrong, incineration is a great damage dealing skill but… I digress

You are spr. Monstrance debuff will make their evasion 0.
