How do you become a Runecaster user?

So like everybody else I have been following this guide here: http://pastebin.com/jMiMQfB9

However as soon as I try to do the first step, it doesn’t seem to work. The old man never mentions those particular dialogues nobody how often I talk to him.

I am currently a Lvl 152 and Class level 8 into rank 5. I know there is a certain requirement for Runecaster but I am not quite sure what it meant.

I read the Class requirement is Rank 6. Now does that mean I need to REACH Rank 6 so that I am able to pick up Runecaster or do I need to go into Rank 6 already and as such pick up Runecaster at Rank 7?

Do I also need to be a certain level or do something before the Old man dialogue? (Maybe clear the story past a certain point or something?)

(probably) have to be ready to choose next rank.

i mean, how are you going to start a class-advancement quest when you aren’t ready to advance your class?

You can start the quest chain any time.

If he hasn’t given you the dialogue, have you tried proceeding to step 2 and seeing if that works?

I did it before I was doing the actual advancement.

The dialogue is randomly activated, probably. Took me quite a while to get it. If not, try to go and read the books in the mage tower and see if it works. If it does, just do the rest of the steps and see if you can create the invitation.
