How did you like traveling in ToS?

As in, did you like getting 50 free teleport scrolls, a “heartstone” back to town and a warp statue every 2 maps?

Personally I think there were a bit too many warp statues. Maps in this game aren’t that big, walking through one of them maybe takes 1 or 2 minutes.

That kinda makes mounts and the Vakarine statue carve skill useless.

I suspect that these statues were only common in the early level maps, can anyone who explored the higher level map confirm or disconfirm this?

I think the warp statues number is fine, it gets lower once you get on the higher lvl map I think… or I was just bad at searching hahaha
I agree that some maps are small but it’s understandable, some maps are divided into parts which if you combine them looks big enough

The maps are annoying. The pathways are so narrow and linear it’s a chore to get through. And on maps like gate route, they force you to walk all the way up, and then back all the way down. When it could just be a round map and I could walk to the right to get to the portal.

Walking is kinda slow but still in ok speed.
Only thing annoying is when have to walk into 0% explore map, I have no clue where to walk to and I don’t want to open site to look for map. Sometime end up lost and end up at other side from warp to next map. Explore map sure fun except when it’s a big map…

I thought there were too many statues and too many opportunities to just directly teleport to where you wanted to go. This is based on lvls 1-32 though, so I don’t know how high level maps look like. Maps themselves could use some alternative routes to the same location, but again, I haven’t seen the high-level maps yet. They should also make several routes within one map, currently it’s mostly main route + a few dead ends with a Zemina statue here and there.

The amount of warp statues diminishes drastically in the higher level areas

I enjoyed the way you travel around the world though and the higher level areas were far more appealing to walk through in my opinion :stuck_out_tongue:

Less frequent

Statues, yes.

It makes your map look extremely ugly when you wanna TP somewhere, because it looks like you haven’t explored a place without a statue. But after you’ve gotten to high level areas, Basic Warp Scrolls are a good invest to save time, which lets you TP back to town and then TP back to statue-less place you were.

Don’t know how it is in the ~200 areas, but for example, the Gitis Settlement Area (69) -> -> -> Tenants Farm (92) route have no statues at all, albeit the adjacent maps do. Night Paradise. Broken quests tho…

Dem spoilers and dem typos in the screenshot…

I took the picture from the Waifu thread, never seen this part of the game myself.

I liked the statues, I liked having the warpstone. I’m not a fan of being forced to run around the same map over and over again.

The maps are kinda of deceptive as well. They show open paths for places that are only traversable if you’re going down. Or that the path is wide when really you have to go around a tree root or something.

Here I was thinking I was the only person bothered by this. Maybe they could add some sort of shaded relief to the maps to show the elevation change.

As any other MMORPG nowadays. Beatiful but linear maps and poor exploring.

I liked the amount of statues in the game.
It’s not like there was one for every map!

Finding your way through a plethora of hallways isn’t always fun either…
I wouldn’t want less statues. (Although I can see that being rough for the diev statue skill…)

I explored almost all the maps they allowed us to in the icbt…
I didn’t feel like there was dramatically less statues though tbh
I did start to feel like there were dramatically less tree root crystals though
So sta might be more important than I thought. lmao.

Maybe in the 200+ levels there are less statues though, we couldn’t really get there this beta.
Krbeta players may know!

I agree that each map isn’t that big (except a dungeon with several floors to explore), but the amount of maps in this game is huge. The earlier CBT only gave us access up to 20% of the [overall map][1]
By looking at that map, do you still think goddess statue is useless?
Besides that, the map will be divided to several branches at later game, if you’ve reached above level 50.

Was a cleric exploring the world with a swordsman friend, he keeps on dashing back and forth scouting for me,… Pissed me off!! Made a thread why cant other class dash!!!

It was breathtaking. There’s nothing more enjoyable than exploring the map towards 100%, finding a portal to another, and then walking into it to discover it’s 60+ levels higher than the last and you were killed the instant the screen loaded by a spawn-camper.

I want them to add bigger maps. The maps I were in CBT were too small in my opinion.

I also find that warp statues are a little too abundant. Like every floor in the crystal mines? They should limit the statues a bit.
