They are currently bugged, but are going to be fixed soon.
In the mean time you can use the codes:
:distinguished: :haha: :heeey: :hey: :hi: :prince: :sad: :satisfaction: :tired:

I checked and it seems other forum sites are also facing similar issues with custom emoticons disappearing.
For now, please search or type in the codes to use the emoticons.
