How about a Steam Early Access release? :)

Early Access is for unfinished games.
You have Closed Beta and Partial English Translations, right?
Why not release the Closed Beta client + the English Translations as an Early Access Steam Client?
We will play on the current Closed Beta servers and we will test the translations and the game. : )
When the game is ready for International release, you can just change the servers and update the Steam Client with a Full release.
And you will make money for Earle Access too. ^^
It’s a Win-Win-Win :stuck_out_tongue:

Yes I’m desperate to play lol

hmm pritty impatient i guess? XD hahaha but nice idea… but a test server… hmm question is whos gonna temporarily host it? @_@

The idea is to use their current servers for the Early Access of the game.
Then switch to International servers for the full release. : )

hmm well yes they can do that… but wont it be hard to change files over the net while testing the server? hmm but if theirs a test release… then the their wont be beta test then? XD

They have full control over the client.
They can release an Early Access Steam client that will include the English translation files and point it to the current test servers.
It will be their current closed beta client + English translation files.
I know I’m simplifying it, but they will need to do that anyway for the International release.
I’m pretty sure they can continue to update their game as usual for the beta test, on their current servers, and just update the English translations from time to time for the Steam client.
The steam client will be the beta, that’s what Early Access is for : )
I’ll gift you a copy : P

God no! Early access would just kill the hype and experience of the players. Not to mention its a free game so theres no sense in doing it. I believe in those devs, they arent complying with every demand to get the highest number of players so hopefully they wont do one of those endless early accesses that never see a release.

They dont need money to finish the game, they just need time. Be patient.

NO TO EARLY ACCESS GAMES

(Im talking about paid ones… people dont seem to understand)

Early Access is just beta testing.
People who beta test know they will not get the best experience.
There will be lag and the translations will be incomplete.
I’m not sure why you think beta testing will kill the game, but I’ll have to disagree.
They’re beta testing right now, they’re not trying to kill their game are they. : P
Plus restricting the number of players for Early Access can be as simple as 60$ tag for the game and you instantly get only people who know what they’re doing and what to expect.
The game can be released as Free to Play after Early Access is over.
Plus, we’re not talking about an Indie studio here that’s trying to rip people off with endless Early Access releases.

Say no to Early Access.

I say YES to FREE Early Access games.

No one is forcing you to beta test : )
You just said “No to beta testing games” which doesn’t make much sense…

Well i hope youre right but i am still against putting it out there for everyone with money to play any time they want. Imo, these quick (3/4 days) and restricted CBT with a week or less of open beta before release is the way to go.

That’s a bad idea…
It will result in everyone getting the game and expecting it to be perfect.
Now that will kill the game for sure.

I was talking about PAID early access games. Betas were ALWAYS free. Paid ones are just some money grabbing techniques.

That’s called beta-testing,

It will not be any time they want.
If the Steam Early Access client uses the current test servers, the game will be available for testing only when the current servers work.
This means that people will be able to test the game only when the current beta is live.
We’re just going to do parallel testing for the English version of the client on the current servers.

Well… feel free to wait forever for the full release of the game then. : )
I was just trying to propose a way for people to join the current testing and speed up the English release of the game, by testing the game in parallel with the current version.

Or ya know, wait till the game is ready to be tested and release it as a beta? Early access games usually allow you to keep playing for weeks on end until the game is complete. Sometimes months. We don’t need that, we just need a beta and that’s it.

Have patience people…

How convenious you are!
There is absolutely no interest for them to open a permanent beta test, aka “early access”.
It will make them lose ton of money ! 1) the former beta servers can’t handle the charge of an international beta test, they have to rent AWS servers - let me tell you it isn’t free. It is ridiculously expensive. 2) no player is going to invest in a beta server - at least not enough to be worth the cost of the servers 3) if they need beta testing, they open a beta test with a restricted amount of players. Period. There is also a cost to analyze the reports and find the good ones amongst all the noise.
4) No dev wants to release a shitty service that lags after years of work, just for satisfying a couple of fans. Be realistic! Only companies that cares only about money do that (and eventually, indies who need money but that’s not the topic).
If you respect this game, refuse the early access.

If you can’t wait for discovering the game, get a beta client download link, and data mine the game.

60$ for Early access will limit the number of players who want to test the game.
They don’t need to buy any additional servers because they will use the current beta test servers.
The current beta test servers will be able to hold the load because they will limit the amount of Early Access players with the Early Access price tag.
I am one player who will invest in a beta server, it’s called testing, not enjoying the game.
Beta testers don’t expect a perfect Game, it’s called testing for a reason.

I’m pretty sure the resistance here is “I don’t want to pay a dime for this game” which is pretty sad, as this game will have limited number of players and will need all the support it can get.
If you don’t want to pay anything for the game, that’s perfectly fine

I want to speed the English release of the game by testing the English client in parallel with the current beta tests and I want to support the game.
