Hoplite/Dragoon - throwing spear in-depth

Quick one: how quickly the spear is picked up once you “step on it”? How quickly is it returned if you dont pick it up? Basically, can Hoplith use Throw Spear targeting own feet and having practically no cd?

Would throw skills be useful in PvP scenarios like “standing and holding Hook, throwing for root/debuff”? Overall, can we please get a summary on those two skills?

If I ever recommend people to go Hop c3, Spear Throw is one of the reasons.

Yes, that’s how I did it to blast the mobs in PvE. Spam it near your feet when you are surrounded and you will pick the spear automatically.
