Hoplite Build Skill Help

Hi guys,

I need your expert advise on the skills I plan to put together. I was going for a build of SWD1>PEL1>HOP1>HOP2>HOP3>DOP1>DRG>1

But I have questions on the skill combination I want to use:

  1. Does “Deeds of Valor” stack with “Gung Ho” & “Concentrate”? I plan to upgrade all these skills to 5/5 if they stack with each other.

  2. Is it worth it to put any point on “Spear Lunge”? My Hop skill distribution will be like this:

15/15 Pierce
15/15 Finestra
13/15 Stabbing
1/15 Long Stride
1/15 Spear Throw

But I may take 1pt off of Stabbing and put it on Spear Lunge if it’s worth getting.

  1. Is it worth getting “Gae Bulg” if you already have “Spear Throw?” and which one is the better long range attack?

  2. Is it worth getting “Mordschlag” over “Double Pay Earn”? Mord does work with Spear right? ^^;;

  3. Lastly, I heard that a Hoplite build is bad in PVP does taking a Dragoon build at the end would make it any better or should I just stick to a Doppel build at Rank 7?

  1. Yes it does.

  2. One point in Spear Lunge, you don’t need more. What you need from this skill is Pierce vulnerability.

  3. Max Spear Throw. It’s a spammable skill, with literally zero cooldown. It’s the best Hop currently has.

  4. All Gae offers is burst damage. It’s bonuses is nothing much and, unlike ST, it has cooldown and not spammable.

  5. Since you are going only one circle in Doppel, put 1-2 points in DPE, max Cyclone, the best skill of this class, max Deeds of Valor. Rest put in Mordshlag. Yes, it does work with Spear.

  6. If you want Doppel, you better use 2H Swords instead of Spears, since all Doppel C2 skills require 2H Swords. Hop gets really good synergy with Dragoon. If you wanted Sword PVP build in the first place, you should have picked different classes.
