Highlander + Matador

Ok, so all new classes are sheit and I have most money invested into swordie attributes, so I’m gonna roll a swordie. Murm is obviously too mainsteam, so lets roll a duelist!

I am looking at a rapier + pistol swordie. The build I am looking at is Sw1-High3-Cor3-Mata2.

I have a few questions about highlander, as I never played this class much:

1) As Highlander3, do you feel dmg of your skills is relevant at 330 lvl+?
2) How strong exactly is vertical slash? How much damage does it normally do solo/in party (more debuffs)?
3) Maybe I should roll Sw3-[]-Cor3-Mata2 instead?

My main issue is that this build seems like a piano swordsman. I kinda like it, but then kinda don’t.

Hl skills are still relevant and still good to be part of the main rotation of skills and not like just a filler when higher rank lv skills are on cd.

Vertical slash afaik deals 30% more dmg for every debuff

Not sure about building into the new classes yet as its still on ktest. Imo just wait till everything is finalized to ktos.

Thx, I am not building, I’m expecting a reset event + I also have journal award rank reset unlocked in case of emergency. I’ve got a 325 corsair with insane silver spent on attributes, so I’ll just reset her and roll xD

HL3 + matador debuffs + cheap attribute to invest in => seems like HL3 is very solid then

I won’t have Restrain or serious Pain Barrier though, but then I will have Armor Break, Bleeding and Vertical Slash. Hmm.

i’m building a HL3, barb1, dopp3, shinnobi. don’t fancy narutos that much but since kage bunshin can clone crown and moulinnet i figure it will be good dmg, bunshin+ cleave + crow + moulinnet.

Yep, you are right about Mata2 being on a shitty side. But at least it has some burst damage and a bit of crits.

That build of yours is pretty good, I guess.

But which skills for burst? The one with variable hits? I dunno man, matador seems to need petalsta to be effective, his crit rate chance only improve when the mob has max provoke rate, no? Or am i understadign it wrong? Because if you have petalsta, why go matador if you can go murmillo?

He cant go murm as corsair or fencer,
Both need a offhand weapon dagger/Pistol.

In my opinion matador fits fencer better then corsair,
The crit attri alone make it worth it with Epee.

I´m at least happy that Fencer2/matador c2 isnt a thing for now.

Since this is a Highlander topic, how long does the Skull Swing debuff last for now? I remember I rerolled my HL because it started lasting for 5 secs instead of the usual 40.

fencer3 mata1 ? << This pretty insane cri rate buff with cri dmg amp

HL was nothing to matador , mata got no debuff like fencer (slash one). Only go if you want some dps skills

Matador got no DPS skills (and also got one that like Counter Attack) [got 2 nuke 30s cd and 25s cd on mata2]

I thinks we mustn’t hope matador class will be main dps , he pretty good at technical movement and self-buff

Hey just tought about this build, bu what about sw1,hl3,corsair1 ( iron hook for pvp shenanigans) ,fencer1 ( more rapier skills and a slash debuff, tough it could be barb1),naruto (crown and moulinet clone combo) and matador 2.

What you guys think?, Just unsure if enough dmg… And to me fencer 3 kit feels way more solid, especialy because that disarm debuff.

I’m actually starting to give more and more though on the Sw2-Hop2-Cor3-Drag2 idea. Having 2 ranged damage skills + hook is nice I guess, even if all skills are rather mediocre in terms of dmg. This class will also have enough buttons to just spam.

Yeah I will be subject to Dragoon memes, but it’s true Matador looks meh. It’s just not much options for Cor3, and I want to stay Cor3.

You dont want shinobi right?

IT would work good with Cor3/Hop.

  1. As Highlander3, do you feel dmg of your skills is relevant at 330 lvl+? ( yes , all highlander skill from c2 is dealing good damage with combo aka cross cut + skyliner , crown + moulinet and etc. )
  2. How strong exactly is vertical slash? How much damage does it normally do solo/in party (more debuffs)? ( the more debuff = the more dmg. in Solmiki i normally do 300~555k with crit PS* i am doppel 3)
  3. Maybe I should roll Sw3-[]-Cor3-Mata2 instead? ( no idea)
