Highlander C3 - ? - Doppel C2 - Which filler?

Rank 5 has arrived and the filler class has become required. I’m already a Highlander C3 and my options are clear:

Corsair - Jolly Roger buff!
Barbarian - Cleave buff!
Peltasta - Swashbuckling buff!
Squire - All the Money Everywhere.

As it’s only a 1 rank class splash, I probably won’t be getting any of the later tiers. Each of these would be purely for the reasons mentioned as they offer little to no other advantage for a two-hander sword user.

Suggestions? Why?

Pick Peltasta. Your taunt will be extremely helpful in parties.

Peltasta. You won’t regret it.

No one wants you as a full dps, they’ll prefer ele3 for that position

I chose Corsair and have no regrets.

It’s not the fault of those who suggests Peltasta, but It’s too wrong that you choose a class just because strangers in a random party want you to be it (and IMC doesn’t buff Swordsmen properly).

If you want to be useful on PvE, not affraid if the queau party already have a real tanker (Peltasta C3 or more CON than you) and have no friends/guild to make an Earth Tower party: be Peltasta.

If you want to be useful on PvP (and a little bit on PvE), GvG and want to have a trick for duels: be Corsair.

If you want to make money, repair your own equips and be useful on PvP (and against bosses): be Squire.

About Barbarian, the extra Slash Damage buff is only on kTOS.

Could be talking about the 50 crit rate buff, which I don’t really think is worth it either way.

My personal suggestion is Peltasta like most others will say. Swashbuckling is not exclusive to party play, its a really useful tool even when soloing and I think it outweighs a circle of any of the other classes listed.

Maybe, but I agree with you.

A better argument.

Me, myself and I doesn’t miss this tool, but perhaps the author of topic will like it.

obvious corsair is obvious for pvp.
obvious peltasta is obvious for pve.

Thanks for the well constructed thoughts.

I’m playing on a controller so I’m not looking to venture into PVP. I guess that greatly diminishes the use for Corsair as I was really only interested in the Jolly Roger buff proccing rare item drops and extra silver to make farming less painful. I can’t quite put a currency value on Squire to say its worth it. Are the high level equips expensive wallet drainers to repair? If these both have no value I might be forced to take the Peltasta because partying leads to cash while soloing leads to mana pots.

So how about from an economic viewpoint?

Yes. Blacksmith’s Repair will be very expensive after lvl 120 (for 5 stars+ equips).

Even when competition have Repair at lvl 10 or 15, there always be someone willing to pay less for your service.

About Jolly Roger: is a good skill. I receive Silver (and sometimes rare recipe items) everytime, but it’s not too much.
