How worth it is to get a Cartar Stroke all the way to level 15 (7.5 sec) since the charging time is cut in half. Is Vertical Slash worth investing still ? I have a level 154 H3 with a level 1 Vertical Slash it does 3-4k non crit dmg with 2 status effect on the boss, 1.9k non crit dmg without status effect on boss. Not sure this was before the patch but you can spam all 3 skyliner within 1 sec if you land your attack on a mob otherwise it will attack slowly.
Vertical slash at 23% lvl5 (at lvl 260) does arround 8K with only the armor break buff ‘3’ > 12K crit. for me ^^
In preparation for the buffs i made this:
I must say that even without the buffs i’ve been doing great damage wise so i expect that after the enhancements it will be even better.
Almost never use Cartar Stroke at maximum because it takes too long to charge, but you never know, maybe with the time haved it will be viable.
Vertical Slash is good and with these buffs it’s gonna be one of your best skills despite the fact that it strikes only once.
from your build is it possible to leave crosscut at level 1 since its bleed is scaled off on STR and use the points in other skill ? the raw damage from crosscut itself is pretty bad. and currently i am using S1>H3>B1 i have not try out the combo on [Cleave + Vertical Slash (with status buff on boss)]
Shoryuken Sure you can!
I have no regrets tho. When it crits and it’s like, all the time, i’m hitting a good 3,5-5k per hit (depending on the monster of course), so 10k for one charge at the best and 7k at the worst so it’s ok.
If you want to leave it at Lv.1 just to reap the benefits of the bleeding effect, there’s nothing wrong.
Got the +1 to skyliner skill gem on Orsha if any 1 is interested.
