That’s actually GREAT news - Completely reduces the need to go Rodelero for that defense reduction attack and makes Highlander C3 > Hoplite for shield and piercing attacks MUCH more viable.
Also, his Cartar Stroke hit a stupid amount of times.
Spoorek, his “attack speed” was his skill Moulinet.

Yea, they have less defense than those hard-shell bosses she was fighting…Even still, it made her Cartar Stroke do stupid damage.
@spoorek Highlander was on point but they gave it 3 more attacks that do a LOT of damage. 2 more attacks: Cross Cut and Sky Liner at C2 which are both heavy 2-hit attacks and CAN ALSO OVERHEAT…AND they synergize with eachother…(Crosscut creates a debuff - Bleed, that makes Sky Liner hit harder). It also gets an add-on debuff synergy attack from Vertical Slash which is a quick and powerful downward AOE strike at C3.
@Excellence, Is really Vertical Slash an “AoE skill” too? I thought it has a limited range like Thrust.

Well…now I’m feeling slightly conflicted…
I wanted to go Highlander 3->Squire/Cata(for the mount)->Centurion (the wing formation defense reduction…) partly to avoid the Barb bandwagon crowd…
But now it seems Highlander will be the next wagon…
I disagree, because Barbarians are still pretty good. Their three new skills deals a lot of damage and two of them can stun.
Since Pain Barrier was nerfed (it no longer ignore stun), Helm Chopper and Seism are more dangerous now.
I think that finally there’s a balance.

A Highlander C3 who goes either Rodelero for CC/Utility/Shield or Hoplite afterwards…will WRECK.
You see, bandwagon usually isn’t about objective value, but the perceived one.
Sure the barb wagon started because of the broken crit multiplier (actually OP), but even after that was fixed people still go for Barb.
For the people who can view things objectively, it’s because Barb’s buffs work to increase DPS as percentage (crit) and since many of them work for any weapon it’s a great supplement to whatever other class they want.
For the rest, videos of Barb doing SOMETHING (like Steparu’s Barb->Corsair playing around with Toyhammer’s proc) make them think it’s OP and jump on the wagon. (similar to that max lvl, geared Hoplite killing a lv 130~ boss in under 20s)
By the way. If you choose Cata, be aware about Cartar Stroke. It doesn’t work with mount.
I really meant for the mount, as in ONLY for the mount aspect.
I’d still use 2H sword so I can’t use most Cata’s skill except Trot (the extra speed) already.
Compare to Squire I’d lose some attack (weapon maint), require paying for repairs (Repair) and doesn’t have the ability to make bosses have 0 defense while also disable them and myself for up to 10s (Arrest with attribute + Centurion’s Wing Formation, assuming they stack)
But I can GO FAST(er) without worrying about running out of stamina.
