I tend to have high ping and I’d like to ask if there are any builds that aren’t affected by it. I guess Bokor, Sorcerer and Necromancer are the primary choices because the summons do most of the damage themselves (Cryo3/Sorc2/Necro3 is the best example and I have one as well, just Pyro instead of Cryo). However just for variety’s sake I’d like to know what other class builds suit high ping :3
My ping is usually around 180-200ms and I’m enjoying Pyro3-Psycho3-Sage2. Has plenty of AoE damage and CC, but needs decent investment to carry CMs.
Get either a support buffer like thauma or non combo classes(where you need to put debuffs before actually doing damage).
I think the standard dps w3ele3war3 also works for mid-high ping range of 200±
Any Archer/Cleric/Swordsman builds?
For Cleric, I was interested in Cleric3/Bokor3/Kabbalist3.
For Swordsman, something defense oriented, I think even with high ping some swordie build should hold it’s own.
Archer is the worst with high ping, I have a SR and it’s Limacon does like 2-3 AA a second even with full DEX. But there must be a build that does well… If in previous cases summons did the work, then I guess here must be A2/H3/F3/Ha1.
for swordsman, you can try:
S1-Pelt1-Hop2-Rodel3-Shinobi-Murm1 (best for bosses)
S1-Pelt1-Hoplite3-Dop1-Dragoon3 (low cd skill rotation)
meta builds that doesnt require attack speed.
For Archer try to go with the usual
A1/2-x-Falc3-Mergen (invest a bit of DEX )
For Cleric:
Cleric2-Priest2-Pala3-Zealot2 This goes way more of a utility build; You can support, you’re quite a DPS, and somehow you can tank.
One more question (since I’ll be able to buy stat & rank reset with bless shards thanks to the event) this time about archer build: I have a A3/Wug2/App/SR3 (full DEX), but ever since my internet went potato, that build is basically next to unplayable. So I was wondering if I should reset it into A2/Sap3/R1/C3 full STR? It’s aspd is basically trash but it’s attack is very strong, so I don’t think it’ll rely on ping that much (and Sap’s skills will be able to scale with secondary weapon now thanks tho this patch making it even stronger). Opinions?
The build is ok, but be aware that Cannoneers eats SP alot.
Well there’s the Demon Lord Helgasercle Card (Recovers [★ * 20] SP per monster killed) which somewhat solves SP problems but I wonder if it’s worth it, since Demon Lord Marnox Card (Increase Minimum Critical chance by [★ * 2]%) is better damage-wise…
Shame on you. He can afford demon lord card and you talking about sp

@advbd @redwea Guys, chill. No, I can’t afford legendary cards but that doesn’t mean I can’t plan them for my build.
But one more question regarding red card : should I use Glass Mole since I’ll be guzzling SP pots like a seasoned drunk or maybe Centaurus for 6 AoE ratio?
150-200ping isn’t too bad for skill based builds.
Only builds you should avoid are attack speed based builds. Some examples up off the top of my head:
Swordsman
HL/Fencer builds
Archer
Builds that incorporate QS3 Running Shot as base skill (Musket3 with focus on Grooving Muzzle, BM1/2 with focus on Double Gun Stance)
SR3 builds
Cleric
AA build (Krivchapquisitor)
Monk builds
Wizard
Enchanter builds, especially Chrono-Enchanter.
Other than these, feel free to pick any build you want.
Uh-oh, and I just started making full SPR C1/K3/M3/Z2 build… But I’m still only lv 81. Double punch is essentially a skill, yes? Or should I delete that character and make full STR C1/K3/P3/Z2?
Some skills (e.g Monk Double Punch and Fencer skills) improve their casting speed by your attack speed value. If you have high ping, these skills will suffer the same delays as auto-attack spamming sadly.
Actually I went with that build anyway just to test it out. While I may not be Bruce Lee karate master, DP aspd is not that tragic, and I’ll still have the huge burst from Blind Faith.
