Tree of Savior Forum

Hi, new player here!

Hi, new player here! Love MMO’s and I’ve been loving Tree of Savior so far. Been lvling up easily but it feels somewhat lonely out there.

I’m using this post to ask the actual state of ToS.
I’ve read about TP steam purchasables, DLC, players unhappy with IMC, lots of builds and more classes coming to servers.
What more can you tell me or to explain about the topics above?

Thanks for your time!

You buy through the game Steam Store, just pay attention to which server you are buying or you will regret later, everything there is not refundable.

Sometimes IMC release some sort of pack, like Beginner’s Pack, with some items and a few TP.

If you search around the forums you will see lots of complains, some are real concern about the game, others only trolling.

You can check the builds and classes on the respective forum sections, also tosbase.com have a skill simulator and many public builds there, some with explanation about the build and how to play it.

Sorry if my answers feel a bit vague, but the info you are asking is vaste, so I suggest you to do some search to get more details.

Most of the current players are in higher level ranges,so the lower ones are a bit emptier these days.

You can purchase TP if you’d like to buy certain things in the game.Hairstyles, lenses, certain outfits, pets, scrolls, tokens, etc. These can be used to enhance your character’s appearance or improve your game experience, but are completely optional.

ToS has a lot of classes,so the build possibilities and class choices are endless. It really depends on what you like to play. Most people start out making that decision here:

We got Miko and Taoist added most recently, and before rank 8 brought us more classes. This pace of development is slower than most other games,so rank 9 and so forth will probably take quite a while to get more news on.

Welcome.

There are a alot of fun to be had in ToS, here are some points that I wish someone had told me when I began.

  1. Research a lot about builds and ask questions. ToS has a a lot of classes and it is very possible to “build wrong”. This may not impact you early game but it can be difficult in later game. ToS does not do a good job explaining things what-soever.

  2. Try out the game more before investing TP. I got TP stored up from the founders packet that I never got around using.

  3. People mainly socialize in guilds, try using your free 5 daily TP to buy microphones, and use that you introduce yourself and ask for a guild.

Don’t worry. They’re weren’t vague, only straight to the point, which is what I and, perhaps, some new players are looking for. The game website doesn’t have a lot of this information (not even the classes and the class tree) so I prefer to read it from other players.

I’ve already began taking notes on the most complex stuff (build, lvling, items, game system,…) but short and simple answers are always welcome!

Thanks again for your time! See you in the game, I hope.

Yeah, I had taken in consideration that the lower lvl areas would be empty. That’s why I’m looking for to lvl up asap.

I wasn’t really aware what the TP currency was for, so thanks for the quick explanation.

The class system is the main reason I’m getting attached to the game. A lot to try, a lot to play with!
I had already looked for builds on that website, but perhaps the topic I am troubled to understand is the status points and whatever is possible to reset those and the skill and attributes points.

Thanks for your time! Hope to see you in the game.

When I was new here I always forget my daily 5tp, could have gotten more soul crystals and micro…
It will be enjoyable once you saved up money and lvl 200+
Ask around when you have question as you play. There’s actually few nice players who don’t mind helping around  and giving you tips… Hope to see u around in the game by chance!

Stat points:
This governs your char’s dmg, Def, BP,SP etc. I suggest googling this to learn the specifics. BUT currently, str is quite useless, while con is universally useful.

Attribute points:
As you class change, the specific npc master will sell you attribute points for silver. Attribute point can augment specific skills under that class. They are accumulative. More Pts the better, but it can be costly and there is no refund.

Skill and stat reset
This possible using TP purchased items. But it is better to research first before putting in stats or skills. Planing ahead is always helpful.

TP retrieval is RNG.
You might get it, you might not.
Some folks have waited a few days, while others have been waiting since last year. Purchase at your own risk.

Players unhappy with IMC?
Well…when you get IMC’ed you’ll figure it out.

There aren’t that many classes. Just a handful of metas…consisting of clerics. Clerics are gods in this game.

It will be lonely in the low levels unless you’re leveling with a friend, then it can be fun, like most mmos with friends in tow.

When you get to 50, you should hit the 50 dungeon and hope there are friendly players nearby with clear vouchers. The amount of levels you gain there will push you to 90, and then you rise and repeat.

As someone said, most of the players are in higher level content and opportunities open up as near the cap.

I will suggest a small correction here.

Use your daily 5 free TP to buy a Soul Crystal(4TP) (it allow you to revive in the same place you died, including Dungeons/Missions), and the TP left to buy 1 Megaphone(1TP).

IMC is slowly but surely improving the game, even if it sometimes feel like it’s two steps forward and one step back. So you will find a lot of people that love the game, but hate IMC.

But be aware that the General Discussions part of this forum is full of trolls and people that quit the game a long time ago but still hang around here for some strange reason. The rest of the forum are mostly nice helpfull people.

When you want to make a new char, first figure out what you want to use if for and then start to build it. Tosbase is really helpfull tool for teorycrafting.

actually just miko. Taoist is with the r8 batch.

Guess taoist is also a sadhu class now

Yeah, the guild system (if it even exists in-game) is sort of hidden. For me it’s the most important part of an MMO, so I’ll be looking forward to find one suitable.

Yeah, the need of TP was also somewhat confusing, even though I imagined the character reset should obviously be within that system.

Builds were easy to find. Even though I always prefer a more explaining guide of the different possibilities available, there are a lot of easy ones to follow, with skills and attributes to spend as well as lvling paths.

Thanks for your time! Hope to see you in the game.

Thank you!

Yeah, it seems the daily purchase of soul crystals (4TP) and micro (1TP) should be the way to go.

Luckily, there have been a lot of replys to my short and simple request for general info =D

Btw, I’m playing on EU servers. Is the community around here scattered to the different servers or are there more focused servers? I imagine that looking to play in other server than EU will intensify the lag and FPS drop problem.

Thanks for your time! Hope to see you in the game, too!

I wish you good luck Richard, As I said, I have a low level character if you need help =D

Hey! Thank you for the offer! =D and sorry, the forum gives strage time restrictions to reply to newcomers =p

right now I’m studying the wizard class tree as I’m looking forward to explore all classes and skills from it =D
I’m focusing on a Swordsman-Highlander c3-Peltasta-Fencer c3 and a Wizard-Pyro c3-Chrono c3- Sage characters, so it’s been a delightful and entertaining week.

Thanks for your time and hope to see you in the game!
