I don’t mind supporting the title.
I mind being told I have to B2P for 3 months to get access to what was previously called the next OBT. As in, OPEN.
A 3 month “head start” is not exactly what was implied prior to release.
If we hold true to their reasoning of helping reduce the number of botters and spammers we see, sure, it would work.
But so would adding some of those horrible restrictions we saw in KToS like 1:1 requiring some form of paid item. Yeah, I hate that, truly so.
But if that is in place only for the first 3 months until June? Done. Every seller and buyer will have had to recharge some TP.
Consider it like a paid free android app with ads. You play the game, but if you recharge any amount then they’ll upgrade it to the full version without ads blah blah blah.
What’s wrong with something like that? Severely restrict users only the first 3 months if they haven’t re-charged yet. Everyone gets to play, and if you support the title, you’ll have those restrictions removed, and spammers that have paid will be actively banned and capitalized on anyway. Even with founders packs you’re still going to see them except their farmers will remain completely silent, trudging away, until June when their stock has been established and their spammers come in swarms.
