Help with this Fencer build

So guys, I can’t decide between this 3 builds

Sword-high3-corsair-fencer3 (just because of pillage but not long PB )
Sword2-high3-fencer3 (recommended by a friend, better PB+damage, but no pillage :frowning: )
Sword3-high2-fencer3 (meta build now)

IMO I’m considering the first 2 builds and the reasons why I consider those builds, but what do you suggest?

Thanks

i am going sword3-pelt1-corsair1-fencer3.

its another option if you want to consider having more evasion and defence and still having full damage from fencer only.

Having highlander 2+ in your build gives you skyliner to spam.

Fencer already has a weaker skill to spam though, Attaque Composee, so it’s up to you. Skyliner with bleed effect + lunge is stronger than Composee though

what do u think about this build ? for both pvp / pve which is better ?

Sw1-HL2-rode1-corsair-fencer3 ? or go sw2->hl2->corsa1->fencer3 ?
For pvp with the new card, i think u dont need go sw3 for pain barrier and most people in tbh are immun to stun, so rode = cc and corsaire hook
for pve hl= give perma bleed and with new card = bleed add 30% dmg

Attaque Composee is not weak. It’s costly but if you have high crit rate equips, and Epee Garde buff, it’s the highest DPS skill the fencer has.

Yeah but even with Epee + Coquille, lv 10 Composee drains your SP so much, combined with the other Fencer skills you’re using, you can’t keep up with the SP drain short of using TP pots. That in itself is a dps limit. Plus if you don’t crit, the damage is crap. Also epee has a 15 sec downtime

Meanwhile Skyliner with bleed + lunge is super cheap on SP and spammable. If you add Cleave into your build it’ll definitely come out on top. Does very good damage even without crits.
SW1 > HL3 > Barb 1 > Fencer 3

I’m a Swordsman3 > HL2 > Fencer3 myself, so I get what you’re saying. I use tp sp pots whenever I spam composee, so that activates my glass moles while I spam. I have 750 crit rate total and it feels like I do crits more than not. This is based on experience with playing that build, and I can say, if you dont mind spending on tp sp pots(assuming you have crit gears) then there is no limitation to your dps. Lastly, composee doesnt need that much setup and is available at full power with so little downtime, which, in the long run, would deal more DPS.

750 crit rate, wow that explains it, you’re pretty geared.

With that build, do you find yourself using Skyliner a lot? I’d imagine Skyliner 5 would be worse than spamming Composee and using the other skills while Composee is down. Not sure if HL2 is worth it to be honest

Edit: Also, how did u solve the low AOE attack ratio problem if you focused that heavily on crit rate?

At this point, HL is not worth it, and I would prefer to have Pelt+Corsair for fencers. I bought the rank reset DLC, which I will use after rank 9 gets released. I want to try shinobi for rank 9 since I have double slash and moulinet for the clones to copy.
You also have Crossguard on HL which is a meme skill for tbl when facing physical enemies…

About AOE attack ratio, it’s not a problem, I use epee garde + prepa + sp pot + balestra x2 to wipe an entire mob(balestra ignores AOE defense ratio, max 10 targets), other than that, I can use Sept to also wipe mobs, since most mobs die before all the Sept hit connects. Composee wipe mobs easily as well as long as I use SP pot before using it.

This is exactly as I suspected. Dunno why people on the forums keep saying Sw3 HL2 Fencer 3 is meta and then everyone keeps parroting this until people start believing this. Who needs skyliner when you have Composee to spam?

Sw3 > Pelt 1 > Corsair 1 > Fencer 3 still remains top for now.

I mean, with my current equips, it’s not worth it since I can afford tp SP pots easily… but for starters, it’s a cheap build with decent damage.

I see, i can’t undestand why all players said to go to HL2, but since i’m not that rich but i can manage, i’m going with this cuz as you said it’s cheap, and one thing that i can’t understand it’s that some said that Two-handed Sword Mastery: Critical Attack works on rapiers too… but ok…btw can you share your choices on fencer skill tree? I never decide who to pick and the skill level, i get like this but i some players said to get flanconnade lv1, others said to don’t get epee garde, so here -> (https://tos.neet.tv/skill-planner#111122eee.5f6a85.3a557585.1a213b4161718595a5b5) and just one last thing… Gung ho or concentrate lv15?

Thanks again

Fencer skills on your build is almost the same as mine. The only difference is I got lvl 10 on Sept to get lvl 1 on Esquive since it looks fancy and make petals fly around. :relieved:
Get bash 3 so you can knockdown and group up mobs(or get lvl 3 bash, learn knockdown attribute, reset skill, get lvl 1 bash, keep the attribute)

Two-handed Sword Mastery:
No. I have a guildmate, he has higher str than dex and the difference in our crit attack stat is not even 50%, even though I have higher dex.

Gung ho vs Concentrate:
If you start hitting 100k per hit on composee, Concentrate will become worthless and Gung Ho will give you more damage since Gung ho gets multiplied by skill multiplier, even by crit. I have 140 str, 170 dex invested and I didn’t even get concentrate.

Lastly, those people who don’t even invest in crit gears and whine how epee garde is so weak should give their rapier and fencer costume back to Sorsha Hutton :stuck_out_tongue:

Tanks a lot man for help :3 but Bash+knockdown it’s important why? If i put Gung ho lv15, i can’t put even bash lv1 x.x it’s ok if i put lv12 on Gung ho to get Bash+passive?

EDIT: And i know that i need to play with the character to really undestand how they work, but preparation lv1 it’s ok? Cuz i didn’t understand how they work…it’s a buff that has duration 15 sec but than only 4 seconds? I think that as you can see o really don’t know how they work @-@

It gets annoying having to group up archer/mage mobs, so you need to knock them down to group them up.

Take bash 3 from your Restrain 10.
I only have lvl 7 Restrain. Tried lvl 10 and lvl 7 during the rank reset event, srsly, couldnt even tell the difference.

It means, you get to block physical attacks at a % for 4 seconds while holding the skill down, after you release the skill, you get a buff that lasts for 15 seconds or until you use a pierce type attack , doubling the damage of your next pierce-type attack.

Got a few questions myself:

  1. What’s the damage difference between lv 1 and lv 10 Composee? I don’t think many people can afford to spam TP pots.

  2. How did you reach 750 crit? lv 8 gems? Solmiki gear? Crit hair accessories?

  3. Do you do ET? If so, how do you do AOE damage without AOE attack ratio?

  1. Almost twice the difference.

  2. Black Horn w/ 2 lvl 8 green gems, Small Crystaras w/ 2 lvl 8 gems, 3x 14 crit rate headgear, Lolopanther leather pants and boots, Solmiki leather gloves, Kaulas leather armor, 2 sissel bracelets.

  3. +3 from lvl 15 Aoe attack ratio potion, +3 from Kebab food from squire, +1 from black horn , +1 from Solmiki leather gloves. You get 12 Aoe attack ratio in total. Pair that with a falconer and you hit everything.

Wow…amazing effort you put in there to run ET.

Why Small Crystaras though, if you don’t mind me asking? Wouldn’t Pevordimas dagger be better as it adds crit?

Yes, pevordimas dagger is way better. You see, I was too impatient that time because nobody was selling a 2 socketed Pevordimas Dagger. I’m looking for the purine version with 2 sockets… but until then, I’m gonna use this small crystaras which adds 150 crit rate total :yum:
