Hello, I’m trying to make my first DPS-oriented swordsman, but have little knowledge when it comes to swordsmen classes, since my only other swordie is a tank. I want a swordsman that can take down bosses in PvE, but also perform at least decently in PvP (I’m not asking to be godly in PvP, just not completely useless). PvE comes first though, and is more important.
I don’t know too much about the differences between Highlander and Barbarian, but I saw this build and wondering if it’s any good: http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/cbauwcc9hj/
The guide ofc claims to be a great build, but other people in the comments say it’s not that great.
I think swordie 2 is great for PvP because of Restrain. Restrain + Cyclone must destroy in PvP.
Any help? Suggestions? Tips? Stats?
Edit: I’ve decided on Sword 1 HL 3 Barb 1 Doppel 3. Anybody that could help me with a skill build? According to others, the guide I linked has all their points in the wrong places.
This is by far the most common build. And the motive is because there is no need to Take Barb 2 or High c2 if not for the appearance of the skills. Because you will have lots of skills to spam just with highlander 1, barb 1 + Doppel equal more than 8 skilss to spam.

I don’t like cyclone that much vs bosses because its not your best attack and its easily interrupted when pb is down. I do think cyclone would be good for aoe in solmiki if you do not have a falconer but with a falconer its not necessary.

That build is better suited for PvE If you’re going PvP, you are going to really have a hard time and doppel 3 is commonly used for PvE.
I can just give some pointer if you don’t mind. This is based on my own preference with high STR(minimum crit)
Highlander C3 core damage skills with very good damage on bossing:
- skyliner (5 Overheat. 15 sec cooldown!. Use cross cut first if possible)
- Vertical swing ( 2 Overheat .25 sec cooldown. Can use skull swing first if possible. But ignoreable as skull swing debuff just last 3 sec)
- Moulinet (28 Sec cooldown. Must take crit attribute. Often get crits)
- Cartar stroke (Optional. But it’s strike with 2 Overheat.)
Doppel C3 core damage skills:
- Zornahu(15 sec cooldown! Crazy damage output past lv 6 due to attribute! but comes with high SP cost too.)
- Redel(25 sec cooldown. Only shines when past lv 6 due to atrribute. Also comes with high SP cost)
- Zucken(20 sec cooldown. Only shines when past lv 6 due to attribute. Also comes with high SP cost. Try to use this after zornhau debuff)
- Mordshclag(Optional. It’s strike damage with Overheat, Also Knockback but often crits!)
- Sturtzhau (is also ok. Damage is not too bad as it ignores defense)
I took cyclone just at 1 cause I am str and it doesn’t scale well anymore. But sill nice when mobbing though.
