Help with my build

Hey everyone, I was thinking of going a full support build, but I’m not sure about a couple of things.

Is aspersion good later in the game? Is it worth leveling?

How good does last rites scale with sacrament? I saw a video and it didn’t really seem to be worth leveling it up.

I was also thinking of going 1:1 con:spr

I’m not sure of going chaplain yet. I’m debating Oracle or Krivis aswell, but I don’t have the experience to know which is better. I only played for a very small portion of CBT1. If i were to not take Krivis, I would rely on Daino scrolls, but I don’t know if those will still be around, and Oracle would be to keep my options open later on for fortune teller?

Any critique would be very helpful! Thanks in advance.

In pvp defense is a lot better, but atm it’s junk in pve due to the sheer raw dmg mobs can put out. (and they don’t seem to have multipliers, so it’s a flat dmg reduction there)

Aspergillum turns aspersion into decent dmg though, but there’s a lot of good options skill point wise in priest3 that compete with it.

Haven’t seen concrete evidence on the subject yet, might see some more in depth footage in the cleric subsection from one of the posters here though.

For pvp? because for pve chaplain performs a lot better as full int or full spr build. (excluding the neccesary con/spr every cleric should get)

Jay, more oracle arguing inbound. You won’t get a consensus on the Oracle question here (i still think it’s useless and that the arguments as to why it’s good are based solely on ro nostalgia).

Krivis is ok for spellcaster builds with at least 2 ranks. 3 is decent for a bit of utility on top.
One rank is not that amazing, nor needed due to the recent buff limit changes. (clerics have a base 7 limit now, and everyone can get +1 from attributes and +1 from token)

It is highly improbable that you’ll be able to build a decent build for it without prior knowledge. As such i would recommend you to wait with such a build. Was it even confirmed to be related to oracle or hidden class?

Skill points look good though.

It’s a nice build. I think you kinda asked the questions that everybody struggles with… The def buff of Aspersion is not that big thing at the moment…and we don’t know the exact relation between Sacrament and Last Rites.

With more points on Aspersion Aspergillum gets some nice damage boost (but that’s for yourself because Aspergillum is a self buf afaik) and you can provide that def buff to the party.

With more points on Sacrament you can provide little bit more damage to the whole party.

I think you can be good with either choices in a different way.

…and I don’t think Oracle has anything to do with Fortune Teller…but who knows…

Alright thanks both of you! Yeah I’ve only heard rumors about fortune teller and oracle, so I was just basing it off that.

Although, im not sure how chaplain performs better with full int or spr. Does the aspersion damage given off by aspergillum increase not only based on the aspersion level, but also off the aspersion’s scaling with spr? I was thinking con:spr for survivability and sp/skill scaling, with mostly pve but also pvp in mind for fun.

  • It’s magical holy damage, meaning in terms of element/armor it deals +100% dmg vs dark and +50% vs ghost armor and has no penalties. (dark mobs are also incredibly common so far, ghosts not so much.)

  • Aspersion and in turn aspergillum scale of spirit and int. Int also receives a 10% stat bonus.

  • The damage ranges i saw indicate another multiplier is in effect. Likely aspersions enhance attribute, though i can’t say for certain yet.

  • Aspergillum can’t miss and can’t be blocked. Though it also can’t crit.

That being said though, it is not as good for pvp as auto attacks are incredibly easy to avoid for most classes. And you’ll have no cc to ensure hits.
