You only pick krivis for one of two reasons:
A) Zaibas, as with kriv3+taoist and an int build it will perform quite well as a single target dmg build.
B) Melstis, as it’s ability to extend invulns and other useful buffs is unparalleled for pve. Statwise does not work well on an spr build, and you can double dip as a zaibas based dmg build.
You don’t build krivis for these reasons:
A) Zalciai, it got nerfed and can’t reduce crit res below 0. Likewise it come in scroll forms and is only marginally useful as kriv1 tops.
B) Daino, we used to have builds that could pick it up. But nowadays it’s not worth losing that one slot. Esp with Miko in pvp making buff builds obsolete. For pve, buy daino scrolls instead.
C) Divine Stigma or Aukuras. Their effects are just too meager.
Simply put, building on krivis for what you are suggesting is no longer considered wise or recommendable.
The stats are in a even worse state tbh:
- You gain more stats by focusing on one or two points.
- int & str even get a additional +10% bonus per class rank (up to +70% max atm.)
- Those values are just too low to achieve anything meaningful.
- Dex is the main phys dmg stat atm, so monstrance is a very good team buff and will only get better.
We are deliberately not mentioning such builds as viable for a reason.
While I can appreciate any type of “outside the box thinking”, this largely falls into the “beating a dead horse” category which I’d like to prefer.
See: Any viable build that I can follow for when inquisitor is up? for the last shitfest we had due to Rugal on this subject for reference.
