Help with Fencer's build

Greetings Savior,

I have never play a swordman before (in this or any other game) but I would like to give a try. After checking all the classes, Fencer looks pretty stylish and fun to play, but I am afraid that I have no idea about how to build it. I checked for some builds and I found that Swordmand3>Peltasta>Corsair>Fencer3 is very popular but I would like to know if there are other options and which skills should I take. Also I read that Fencer is good for World Bosses, is this true? I already have a WB slayer, but it could be a nice change.

Swordmand3>highlander2>Fencer3 is a popular alternative.
More skills to add into your rotation.

What am I getting from Highlander? Isn’t Barb a better option for Warcry and Frenzy?

This isn’t an exhaustive list but here’s a couple reasons as to why highlander is attractive:

Skyliner can animation cancel flanconnade, which is pretty nice DPS.
Crosscut gives bleed which increases the damage of double slash from sword3.
hl2 has much more synergy with the apparent best choice for r9 being to go shinobi.

Fencer is ok at world bosses. Not the worst, but not even close to being optimal. You will be able to get cubes if you have the right party setup and gear and such, but you will almost certainly never come in first, or even second place on a somewhat competitive server.

pelt>corsair is the pvp variant of fencer - or, rode>corsair is even more popular and useful for pvp if you have really nice gear.

Well, what is the best class for WB hunting in your opinion ?

Probably Murmnobi is the best WB slayer so far… but it is quite boring to play.
