Help with a full support Linker (and chronomage)

I -think- what i want to do is go Linker and rank 6 would be chronomancer.

I’m going to be playing with a full DPS mage (not positive on which one for sure yet, kind of depends if plaguedoctor is available by then or not, haha)

my build idea would be picking up all support skills i can, then i was thinking of going into cryomancer, since freezing enemies seems useful… though i wasn’t sure if pyromancer would be better for Rank 2?
After that I was going to go linker for rank 3-5, then chronomancer for rank 6.

(I wasn’t sure if haste was going to be worth two tiers of chronomancer, and the damage bonus from life line seemed pretty nice!)

Is this a viable full support build?

Are there any tweaks that would be better?
Other than haste, chronomancer didn’t seem too appealing to me. i enjoy actual buffing more than CCing.

I was also curious if the attack speed from chronomancer (quicken) applied to magic spells as well?

I think rank 2 should be Pyro for more dps if you go Linker C3

If you wanna run a full DPS mage, take Pyro. Linker could work but don’t bother with Chrono.

If you’re into buffing more than CCing, run Cleric. A lot of the Wizard’s “support” comes from classes that have CC and Cleric has many more buffs.

Either focus on DPS, or support/CC. You can have DPS and CC, but don’t spread yourself too thin. Find your focus and stick with it.

Ahhh sorry. What i meant was with i’m playing static with my boyfriend who will be playing an elementalist. so he’s focusing on full damage, i’m going to be focusing on full support.
i don’t care much about getting DPS abilities because i’m going to have someone dishing out a lot of DPS already and I want to buff him as much as possible (or help him mitigate damage if needed)
i’m going to run a cleric eventually but i’m more for full support types that don’t heal rather than being a healer/support lol.

SO yeah i’m only focusing support, not dpsing at all haha, sorry about that.

Does anyone happen to know if the attack speed bonus from chronomancer effects magic casting speed as well?

Don’t think 2 Wizards work well with one being a Linker. What Stats are you going to share when both are maxing the same stats?

I suppose Cleric -> Oracle would be nice.

But if you already have a Wizards, then maybe Linker with either Chronomancer or Sorcerer.

If one of those wizards is a Thaum who dumped Int/Spr for super high con, and then transposed that into comically high int for the elementalist…
Or just left it as super high con and used the Ele’s int score.
