Cleave is the strongest skill of barbarian until you get Seism. The combo Cleave + Seism + Cyclone ( which is the STRONGEST SKILL IN YOUR ENTIRE BUILD ) is something like A 400000000000k DMG XD

Just kidding, but cyclone + cleave is so good. Trust me…

Ok, peltasta:

Swordmans need to front line. Everytime. Each skill that you use, you gonna be at front line. Peltasta gives you block rate, evasion, and nothing more the most important thing to a swordman that foccus on skill based build : aggro. The swashbuckling skill makes your barbarian life SO EASIER. Even your HP will be higher.

Peltasta is, for tanking or not, the best second rank to pve swordmans.

How does that work with a 2handed weapon? or are you saying I shouldnt be using a 2handed weapon? That was kind of the idea here.

you use whatever you want. the difference is: using shield, you gonna have the manual block.

Change Barbarian to Highlander and it will be good.
Barbarian is considered very bad in Korean TOS now. But I guess it could be different on International version.

Highlander also gives you passive with 2H Swords for pure DPS, judging by what OP is going in that build.

Thanks for the replies guys, didnt think Id get any attention on here. Somebody on reddit was helping me out a bit with builds and this is where im at so far, thinking out taking a point out of pain barrier and putting 1 into thrust, had points in crown for synergy with Zucken but im not sure if I need it at 5 though, might take crown down to 1. What do you guys think?

Yes I dont really have an interest in the pvp, at least not right now.

Take my build as a base.

Depending on what you want, you can put 1 point in Wagon Wheel. 3 Cartar is enough to get Collision. Crown 4 for 11 seconds + Zornhau combo with another 5 seconds. Max Skull Swing for zero DEF Armor Break duration. Don’t max Vertical Slash.

Don’t touch Mordshlag, unless you go PvP. Get at least two points in DPE for Attack limits and great EXP\Loot rewards. Again, depending on what you want, you can max DOV, put 1 points in Zucken and rest in Zornhau and Redel.

@Autentist nice, but imo, highlander is better than barbarian just for pvp, no? (and early bossing, ofc)

my experiencies with barbarian on last CBT: his rank 3 is so good. but other, need some dmg…

EDIT: oh, and the barb has a lot of stuns

Highlander, on top of getting passive Crit Attack to 2H Swords, gets skills like Crown (Zornhau + Crown combo, constant Shock on magic enemies), Skull Swing, which reduces enemy’s defence to ZERO and Skylinet + Crosscut combo, which rips enemies to shreds, even after nerf.

Cartar level 3 on top of getting Knockback, also get Collision damage, great skill for CC.

Barbarian can offer to Doppel Frenzy (but on high levels +400 damage don’t mean that much) and Seism. However, it’s skills fall off later game, while Highlander can still maintain itsels thanks to utility it’s skills provide.
Stun doesn’t last that much.

Im liking the looks of the build you linked, I might just leave it as is and roll with that, maybe drop a point out of cross guard and get wagon wheel but idk. Ill save this and see how it goes when im actually playing. Its rough to plan out when I have 0 experience in this game and im just going off on paper stats and advice. Thanks for your help guys.

Yeah panth, actually, follow Autentist. His tips are great and he has a nice knowledge. ( not ironic )

I’m thinking do my pve build something like yours, but, what do u think about hoplite?

Maybe swordman, peltasta, hoplite 3 is a good path to follow. Your power to PvE is so great and makes your life against boss a lot easier.

Some alternatives:

  • You might definitely drop 1 point to Wagon Wheel, but I would do that from Crosscut, since you just basically get it for Bleeding effect. Cross Guard’s formula is just to good.
  • You might max DOV at C2 Circle already, if you do that, get 1 point in Zucken, while the rest go to Zornhau and Redel.

Well id have to play with DOV and see how i feel with the -defense since maxing it would put me at -100% right? Melee glass cannon doesnt sound like the best idea xD. Oh and I was meaning to ask what you think about stat distribution? all strength?

Hoplite is a boss killer. Finestra is awesome on max level. Stabbing, Pierce are great skills, first one being multihit. Spear Throw can be spammed under your feet, which makes Swash + Block Guard + Spear Throw combo a breeze to clear out dense areas of mobs.

Go with Sword - Pelta - Hoplite3 - Doppel (for superb AoE and DOV) - Dragoon.

There is also a build for High3 as well.

It goes like this: Sword - High3 - Hoplite2 - Dragoon. It potentially has more DPS, trading it for Defence.

It’s also 2H build for Spears and Swords.
