DPS Swordsman Build

First post on here, so be gentle

I was thinking about a high damage 2h spear build for PvE so I was going to go

Sword > Highlander > Hoplite >Hoplite > Cata > Hoplite > Dragoon

Now I only had limited time in the 2nd CBT (work keeping me away) so never got that far, so any advice would great on if this build would be viable at all

catar stroke will dismount you, and getting back on in battle is a nightmare.
you could drop cataphract for highland2 or doppel.
word is skyliner’s getting a cooldown, but it’s still a circle that provides a lot of solid attacks.

or you could go for the cata build: pelt>hop>cata3>dragoon
(side note: yes, i agree that it sucks how cata basically railroads you into a single build)

Ah didnt realise that, I think Ill drop cata so and go for one of the other two.

Yes, all Dragoon skills are usable mounted.

Actually de build I’m going to is S>P>HopliteC3>Dragon, but I’m just curious.

Help with a build?

Highlander, on top of getting passive Crit Attack to 2H Swords, gets skills like Crown (Zornhau + Crown combo, constant Shock on magic enemies), Skull Swing, which reduces enemy’s defence to ZERO and Skylinet + Crosscut combo, which rips enemies to shreds, even after nerf.

Cartar level 3 on top of getting Knockback, also get Collision damage, great skill for CC.

Barbarian can offer to Doppel Frenzy (but on high levels +400 damage don’t mean that much) and Seism. However, it’s skills fall off later game, while Highlander can still maintain itsels thanks to utility it’s skills provide.Stun doesn’t last that much.

Thanks for all the great replies, but I see a lot of people saying take Peltasta, but Im looking to go 2h spear now 1h with shield, would taking highlander not be much more beneficial?
I really like the look of

but would I be able to swap Highlander3 for Hoplite3 or is Highlander 3 just better (I assume so, other wise why would you say so)

Why the hell not.

You wil use 2H Spears and 2H Swords. That’s it.

Both 3d Circles are good. I recommend High for Skull Swing.
