Hey, I’ve made these builds please check some out! And give some feedback :D.
Which are actually nice, which are complete trash, which do you think is the best, and how can I improve?
I know It’s a lot, but if you could provide feedback for at least one I’d be more than thankful!
Disclaimer: I’m focused on party support but with damage. I want to focus on supporting when I’m with a party, but I wanna do some damage when needed both solo and with a group. Also, I want all those builds to be useful (even if not optimal) for both PvP and PvE.
Hi~
I think in your builds there are too many Cleric 3s… You don’t really need C3, you won’t need that much healing. Especially if you have other ways to mitigate some damages or an extra heal (like PD’s).
Cleric 2 is good because it gives you Divine Might, extra blocks from Safety Zone, and Heal 10 (from my experience Heal 5 if full INT with some other support classes should be enough, but a lot of people are dumb and waste the heal tiles if they lose even only 100 HP… that’s why I’d always recommand Heal 8-10 to be safer). If you do go Cleric 3 though, Divine Might 10 is a must have. DM is amazing.
But instead of Cleric 3 you could probably benefit from Priest 1 for Resurrection, Diev’s statues, or even Krivis’ Daino (if you use a lot of buffs and don’t want to buy scrolls) as fillers instead of going Cleric 3. Krivis’ Zalciai is basically useless to take though.
Oracle 3 to be honest is kind of bad. It doesn’t offer much compared to some other classes… Counterspell and Prophecy are good, but that’s about it. They increased Death Sentence cd (which was already long even with the attribute), Twist Of Fate is situational, the way Foretell works also makes it pretty situational. So overall, I wouldn’t recommand a build around Oracle 3, except if you just want a Gender Change Shop.
Priest 3: Aspersion is pretty useless at the moment, not even worth to take it at 1. Sacrament is better if you take it at 1 for the extra Holy damages, except if you go Chaplain.
With Paladin’s ways to reduce the enemies elemental resistance and defense, I think Incineration 1 is worth it. Pandemic too. Fumigate 1 is enough~
You have to note that to support without being full support, you basically only need Heal 10. Priest 1’s Res is a good bonus too.
It surprised me that at no point you considered taking Chaplain though. They have good damages, and they come from Priest 3, so they can also still support effectively. You can also go full SPR but Chaplain will still allow you good melee DPS.
I think overall your builds do their jobs, even if they’re not optimal. I’d just really advise to not go Cleric 3, in most of your builds it’s an overkill.
Also your Cleric 1 -> Priest 3 -> Krivis 1 -> Oracle 3 is the worst imo. Oracle 3 isn’t that great, of course, but you actually don’t have that much damages nor support in this build. You only have Heal 5 and Mass Heal 10 to heal (some people eat Heal tiles like crazy and Mass Heal has a 30s cd), you don’t have many skills to mitigate damages, and at the same time your DPS is basically non-existent.
With the new changes not going Sadhu 3 is a bit of a shame too because of Transmit Prana: http://www.tosbase.com/database/skills/40506/
Questions:
-
Are those pure pvm, pvm/pvp or pure pvp builds?
-
What is a support to you? Keeping party members alive is support enough? Or do you also need to buff their damage? If the latter, you’re probably looking for SPR Priest 3 with/without Chaplain.
Opinions:
-
As mentioned before, Oracle C3 is really lackluster. Not worth it as a class atm. Except if you’re full pvp.
-
If you want a full support build, make sure your heals are at least very good (this is basic for any full support). At least Cleric C2 with any SPR/INT builds and Cleric C3 on STR/DEX/CON builds.
-
There are builds, such as SPR Cleric2 -> Chaplain -> PD 2 that both deal good damage and are awesome supports. A build like INT Cleric2 ->Diev1 -> Sadhu3 -> PD 2 is more offensive and has more dps, but less of a support.
-
If you’re looking for pvp support, things differ drastically. You definitely want to have PD 1 or Oracle C2+. Oracle C1 is not enough for pvp as Prophecy’s debuff protection hit limit wears out really fast against certain skills.
-
Diev 3 is considered one of the best supports in the game for both pvp and pvm. This is just a suggestions as you’re looking for support builds.
Thanks A LOT for the response!
First of all, I’m well aware Oracle’s bad haha, I just like the class so much. Which is why I wanted to know if any of those were at least a little viable, but knowing it sucks is not unexpected.
Also, yeah, C3 might really be Overkill indeed. I’m taking it for the GS+Healing Factor combo, plus the 15 heal tiles, but now that you mentioned it, I don’t really need it.
In addition, I was basically trying to avoid P3-Chap builds for two main reasons: 1st I’ve already tested it, liked it but not enough. 2nd everyone’s using it and I like to avoid cookie cutter builds. Also reapplying 4~5 buffs every min or so tires me a bit. Nothing I can’t get past, but it’s kinda boring.
I hope those builds really do their jobs.
THANKS AGAIN FOR THE RESPONSE!
edit: made some mistakes :x
1- PvE/PvP, I’d like to be effective (even if not optimal) at both.
2- I think supporting is keeping everyone alive while providing some utility and/or debuff clearing and I’d like some form of damage to help(be it via buffs or my own damage).
That Oracle thing was well pointed out! I always thought O1 was enough for PvP(and PvE)
Nice to know Diev3 is so good, didn’t think it was that strong.
Most of my builds have either Oracle, Miko or PD for the debuff clearing, mainly for PvP but also for PvE.
Also, I’m avoiding full SPR Chap PD2 cause I don’t feel very well dealing damage with blessing. I know it’s good, but I fear it will get nerfed soon. Also, I’d like to feel the numbers a coming from my skills and Items.
THANKS A LOT FOR THE FEEDBACK!
Chaplain is really good now because of the SPR scaling and all the attack lines, not just Blessing.
I can understand trying to avoid it though, I’m really not a fan of it myself (just personal triggering experience of bad Chaplains I met though).
Diev 3 is pretty good to mitigate damages in all kinds of ways as well as debuff enemies and help your party.
PD’s really good at it at preventing debuffs/curing, but Bloodletting is balanced in PvP and only lasts 25s. Oracle can have it on all the time, but it has a number of debuffs limit and it only prevents level 1 debuffs.
If you want to support as in a simple “Help people stay alive” thanks to heals and cures/debuffs, then you honestly only need Cleric 2 and Oracle/PD.
Then you can basically pick up any classes that deal enough damages/is useful enough for you.
I like Sadhu, but you need to be Sadhu 3 to optimize its damages. Also in PvP Possession’s CC can be prevented. You could go the Bokor path as well, it comes at rank 3 so it’s easier to get to circle 3.
I’d suggest:
Cleric C2 > Diev > Paladin C3 > X > Inquisitor
Full STR.
X:
PD: Debuff Removal (Rank 1 & 2), Healing Factor, Epidemic (can spread Conviction/Malleus debuff).
Oracle: Counter Spell, Debuff Removal (Rank 1)
Kabbalist: SP Recovery.
I’m personally leaned more towards PD.
With this build you’ve everything you’d want to, you’ve got enough healing with Cleric C2 & PD, you’ve got Laima for the CD reduction and free teleport, you’ve got Barrier (even though it can be scrolled, it’s getting nerfed soon™), Resist Elements which is really good right now, debuff removal from PD and Inquisitor synergizes pretty well with Paladin (Conviction increases the dmg of God Smash by quite a lot in my experience).
Overall it just feels nice to be able to build a fortress for your team while also being able to dish out high DMG.
The only downside this build has I’d say is the SP consumption, I’ve yet to test how much SPR should I get to have a better experience but with full STR and SP pots it’s not that much of a big deal.
This is the skill distribution I’m using atm.
Great! I’ll make some adjustments to the builds. Thanks a lot!
That looks cool! It’s similar to my STR Support Inquisitor build. It’s nice to know C2 is enough to keep everyone alive. Also, I think I might throw in some SPR for the SP because I don’t like chugging pots that much.
Thanks a lot for the help!
Would anyone help me, I’m pretty new to Cleric class and currently have a full SPR Cleric 1 > Priest 3 > Chaplain.
I need help with the skill points distribution and what are good classes to go after chaplain?
I’m going for auto attack build btw.
Thanks in advance.
Hey, I have a little experience with that build. For skill distribution, leave Sacrament, Monstrance and Aspersion at 1, Blessing at 15 for sure. Ressurection at 5 because it is just that good. Then, the rest of the priest points you can put wherever you want. I’d recommend leaving Mass Heal at 5, Stone Skin at 1 and putting the rest at Revive. Also, leave some points at Exorcise (2 or 3 is enough) so that you can use Magnus reliably. (In my experience, leaving Exorcise at 1 makes it be consumed so fast you can’t even M.E., and I play with 10ms latency.). For Chaplain, you should leave M.E at 5, Aspergillium at 5, then the rest you can spread between Last Rites and Capella however you want. I’d recommend Leaving L.R. at 2 and Capella at 3, or maybe 1-4.
For follow-up classes, you can fill with whatever classes you want. Oracle is a nice R6 class for its support capabilities and the farming utility on the side. For that you’d want to max Prophecy and Counterspell.
Miko is also nice, it adds some nice debuff clearing with Gohei, and Hamaya scales well with blessing since it’s a Multi-hit skill.
Druid is also ok, since Carnivory does the same thing.
Cleric 2 is also a nice option, especially if you’re going Plague Doctor 2 afterwards.
For Rank 7, you could put in Kabb 1 for more support, especially for PvP, and some SP regen for your party(since you won’t be needing it). I’d recommend Plague Doctor since its support and damage capabilites do very well with Chap.
For Rank 8, Inquisitor should be the way to go, unless you’d want Plague 2.
Here are two example builds:
One with Inquisitor (C2-P3-Chap-Oracle-Inquisitor)
Cleric 2 and Chaplain(P3) provide Excellent party support. Oracle adds even more into that. Then topping off at Inquisitor for the sweet sweet damages.
This with Plague 2
C2-P3-Chap-Plague Doctor 2
It deals damage with the Black Death + Incinerate Combo, while also having great support and auto-attack damage.
I hope these builds help you at least a bit!
EDIT: posted it wrong the first time 8D
Thanks for the detailed explanation, I’ll see if can lvl a bit more to test both builds.
