Help me to decide going to Monk

cleric2>diev2>Monk3 ftw

  1. carve laima decreases energy blast cd by 20 seconds
    2.warp sttsue helps a lot
  2. carve does op dmg
  3. owl does even more op dmg
  4. u can go cleric c2 for more heals and divine might

Owl is INT based, so later on the dmg will suc. and priest 2 u get revive, mass heal, monstrance, aspersion, sacrament. and other stuff

diev is better if u always have a priest in ur PT. priest 2 is better for solo, or to support better the PT

oh no, owl will always do good dmg even end game, you wont use it as much but i can use it for grinfing, using carve laima and then set down 2 owls facing laima, mobs will all go to laima and be bursted down by owl, u can lure more monsters to laima and they will die, best way to grind.

didnt know that xD i like the idea of cleric2>diev3>druid2, one day will try that

o, lol owl is realy good, i might not use it as much once i get to monk c2

Ull still use it even on level 215++ grinding spot if your going solo mobs hit 4k-6k if your level gap and 1.6k if same or above level… Also mobs have 80k+++ hp so you need the owls to tank for you then shoot it with your eb.

someone told me stone skin is still effective even if u have low SPR.

Here’s my build for Monk after giving that question many hours of thought myself, and experimenting with a few skill resets on my Monk:

thats what others are telling yet im seeing cleric>going priest 3 in the actual game. LOL

i’m using the build for

cleric > priest > priest > priest > monk > monk

i believe three level of priest is a bit overwhelmed… yes you do have max mass heal which helps… a bit but other than that, blessing and sacrament will lost effectiveness when you reach high level.

but taking cleric c2 priest c2, you only sacrificed 20 damage from blessing, and a little bit from sacrament, and 10% healing power and maybe stone skin? (stone skin doesn’t help in magical attack monster ) and stone skin base on SPR… doesn’t benefit monk well… we do not have SPR @@

you gain 20 more block from safety zone’s attribute itself.
you gain 10 more healing box
and all might… gooding…

i a bit regret geting priest c3 btw… i rather go with
cleric > priest > priest > cleric > monk > monk > monk

idk y less ppl go diev , diev does way more dmg than priest and it doesnt fall off, ppl just go priest to make lvling “easier” but it will fall off late game while diev will not.

well i went priest due to mass heal + resurrection ( just in case we need it ).

it is not all about damaging and leveling though. :slight_smile:

Take a read to help you decide if Monk is for you. Something to keep in mind is to build for the present with the future in mind. Whatever you decide to play remember that whenever new ranks open up that you’ll have to view those choices on their own. It’s a very moot thing to argue or debate about when people bring up topics like how skills become out dated or out leveled. It’s a tragedy of most skills currently in ToS because of how most things are linear and lazily designed without coefficients or stat influences (very few skills have anything besides pure straight additives).

Instead to maximize damage potential damage type has to be brought into the equation (Striking, Slashing, Piercing etc). The other thing is if DPS is what you’re looking for you’ll most likely have to do your own homework and figure out the optimal Critical Rating to Str investment, because Crits are one of the few things that retain good scaling. Having a base 1.5x + Critical Attack Damage bonus.

If you’re committing to Monk, I’d say go Cleric 2 > Diev 2 as your base. I went that route.

  • Cleric 2 has the 10 heal squares and that instantly makes you useful as a healer without having to roll priest at all.
  • Most clerics are rolling a heavier support build and being Priest 2 is worthless in comparison to the Priest 3s or Chaplains that you’ll be running into 130+
  • Few Clerics roll Diev and going Diev will give you Carve. 3 charges. 5 hits per use. STR scaling. Very, very good skill.
  • Diev 2 will give you statues that support the team. A -20% cooldown statue in a game about cooldowns is a huge deal. Again, not that many clerics roll Diev. You also get a damage statue that puts out huge numbers that is insanely good while leveling or dealing with packs of enemies.
  • None of your skills will really fall off after going Monk. Support statues stay useful, Carve stays useful, Lv10 Heal squares stays useful, Divine might stays useful, Safety Wall, etc. You get the picture.

in my case i already chose Cleric>Priest>Priest what would u suggest nxt? Cleric 2 or Priest 3?

for me Cleric2 would be a better choice than priest3. Damage Prevention from Safety Zone (42 hit immunity) is much better than constatnly healing everyone and yourself, and makes a perfect setup for Energy Blast
