(Help me)Does Weapons lost value by Enchanciment Fails? (now that we have transcendence)

Hi, I need some help,

After see the process of enhanciment of a weapom and then to transcend it, I discovered both can make the item lose potential.

Does it make those weapons with only a few potential (lets say weapons with enchanciment lv +8 or +9) very harmed if you want to transcend this weapon?

Why I’m asking?
Because I was about to buy a Sword +8 with only +3 potential, since it already had lost 2 Potential due to Fail on enchanciment, and before close the deal I realized that will be more dificult to make high levels of transcendence in the future (even if maybe I dont want it later).

I really like this sword and want to transcend it in the future, so does it mean this sword have less chances to receive high level of transcendence in the future? Is that it? So its not worth take even knowing the cost is the same or less the ammount invested to enchance?

You cant lose potential if you always transcend at 100% (insert meme here) even if said weapon only have 1 potential left. The only harmed thing is if you choose to dismantle your shard from said weapon.

if you really care about potential, there is always another option: buy/farm the recipe and the mats and then craft it yourself.
