Help me decide which build is the best :)

Hello,
I’ve been spending a lot of time trying to decide which build fits my needs, but I need some feedback from people with more experience.

So, here is what I want:
First of all, I don’t really have a lot of time to play, and I usually prefer to play by myself (I know this is an mmo, but I just like doing stuff on my own).
I want to focus on pve stuff. I won’t be doing pvp at all with this character(I’d rather play cleric for pvp, but I’ll worry about that later), I want to just relax and grind by myself and kill some field bosses here and there while still being able to get some cubes.

Given these parameters, I came up with these builds:

Option 1:

Your typical Dragoon build.

or

Option 2:

I actually played Highlander c2 during icbt, but I never got past lvl 70, so my experience on higher lvls is limited.

Am I going in the right direction with these builds? Or should I roll an archer for solo play?

Any feedback and constructive criticism is welcome :slight_smile:

Thank you in advance.

As you prefer soloing most of the time, i would pick build 1. It’s the best PvE build for dragoon at the moment thus u can mob and kill stuff, solo bosses easily and auto attack monsters till death. U also can party since u have petalsta 1 guard and block atribute. Skill distribution is fine, good luck.

Not sure about build 2 cause i dont see any synergy for squire. Squire fits more into a petalsta/tank build so u can get c2 and be very useful in party plays with swash buckling + guard and the food and camp stuff from squire (repair etc as well).

You’ll have a ton of fun with either of those builds. Only thing I would say is for build 2 take Peltasta C1 instead of Squire (take it at Rank 4 and get Highlander C3 at Rank 5 is my suggestion). it’s easy to weapon swap and the usefulness of Swashbuckling (when you DO decide to party) is insane.

Thank you for the feedback! So, if I replace Squire with Peltasta, would you prefer option 2? Or would option 1 be better?

==>The best

Nope. There is another one, focusing entirely on DPS. It goes like this:

Sword - High 3 - Hop 2 - Dragoon.

@Pandamango

Yes, it’s preferable. With this setup you go either in Corsair for PvP on Rank 5, or start with Pelta on Rank 2, then Highlander, then Doppel.
