Help me decide between these 3 builds or my head is going to explode

Hello guys! After plenty of rerolls I finally decided to settle down as a cleric but I really don’t know how to go on, I selected three possible builds based on efficiency and fun factor.

  1. C2>Krivis3>Druid 2: It should act like a caster but I’m afraid it can’t compete with Fletchers or Ele/WL for the AoE spot in end game groups. On a first glance it should have limited support but superior damage.

  2. C2>Dirv3>X>PD: It seems too stationary and the CDs are long but the single player damage will be easily the best of the three and PD makes it really welcomed in groups and PvP or so I think.

  3. C2>Pri3>Chap>PD: Melee oriented, the best support of the three and as the one above it shouldn’t have any problem in PvP and groups even if I don’t think it will be expected to do any damage, I picture it on the back rows healing.

I rarely play as a support because I enjoy big numbers but in this game all the meta builds for DPS are boring and unexciting (IMHO) so I’m looking for something fresh and fun. I don’t have any friend yet so I’ll play solo a lot and for that reason I don’t want to go through an excruciating leveling experience.

Which one do you recommend me? I’m a casual gamer and with 200+ levels I’ll probably play this character for quite some time, I usually play a couple of alts but this game killed my craving for them, too many maps to explore and too many things to grind so I really can’t afford to get this one wrong.
Any suggestion will be welcomed and if you can spend a couple of words about the pros/cons at higher levels it would be even better, thanks a lot!

Cleric C2 > Krivis C3 > Druid C2:

You’ve a lot of invulnerability with Safety Zone and Sterea Trofh, have some really nice dmg output, you’ll have Daino so your party can use more buffs easily, however don’t try to compare the cleric branch to other branches, clerics will never be superior to those top dps classes but they aren’t mediocre either, you’re more of a offensive support with this build.

Cleric C2 > Dievdirby C3 > X > Plague Doctor

I honestly think that for end game content such as Earth Tower Dievdirby is the most wanted because of Laima, for Rank 6 you could pick Krivis for Daino, it has really decent dmg and with Plague Doctor you get status ailments cleanse, however as you mentioned, it struggles in places where it has to move around a lot, other than that it’s a pretty solid pick and the one I see being really good for end game.

Cleric C2 > Priest C3 > Chaplain > Plague Doctor

The typical full support build, you can’t go wrong with it, you’ve everything you’ll ever need, you’ve a lot of heal with Heal and Mass Heal, you can ressurrect your teammates (the only class that can do that in the cleric tree), Stone Skin is a really nice blocking ability, Plague Doctor even more heal with Healing Factor and status ailments cleanse.

So basically you’ve to pick what you want the most:

The first build has a higher dmg output in exchange of having not so much support but your DPS is always welcomed, out of the three this one is more DPS oriented than support.

The second build is really nice but if you’ve to move around in dungeons it might struggle a lot, the class support wise really shines in Earth Tower imo.

The third build I’d say is the most support friendly build, you don’t have to worry about much (maybe about overwriting your party members buffs since you’ve a lot of them, but with Daino scrolls it’s not a problem).

If you’re aiming for heavy magic dps with decent healing skills and etc, I’d place bet on the druid c2 path. I have seen druids who can really rekt mobs like a pancake.

My vote goes for druid aswell

The problem of the druid build is that I’m afraid no one will take me over other AoE classes in end game grouping especially for World Bosses because I’ll have no single target damage, I’m really undecided…

This might help you.

Well, since someone already explain several things about each positions. If you are looking for more orientated DPS in both PvE/PvP with decent support. You might considered this build.

Currently highest charter for top 100 Plague Doctor build in PvP at the moment with highest fighting potential against Plague Doctor mirror fight due to Smite > Zabias DPS wombo combo (or Palm Strike/Hand Knife > Zaibas) + Samediveve (+HP and +Movement Speed). Paladin can also be replaced with Monk as well for double knocks CC.

It’s one of those try-hard build from KOBT, but whichever that fit your style.

I’m still torn between the first two, after some reading it seems that the third will not be really “active”, will the druid be viable in PvP as the PD? I’m trying to find an edge somewhere because I still have doubts.

C2 Cleric > C3 Krivis > C2 Druid is purely DPS orientated build, but also keep in mind that Zaibas and Carnivory AoE counts more than one number of attacks if it land on a group two or more mobs. Looking down on the road with this build, the only problem you will be facing is mana issue (Until level 150) and cooldown.

C2 Cleric > C3 Dirv > X > C1 PD is a mixed up support/DPS + Battle ground control due to its Double Owls + Massive Healing boxes. Keep in mind that you can either go with C1 Krivis or C1 Druid for more Daino or Telepath on the PvP battleground. This only weakness that this build has is range itself or getting kite off by CC/Bokor

Also, you did mentioned that you rarely play as a support and looking more into big numbers (typical DPS route). If you are looking for casting build. Either the first or second option work and it really depending on your play style.

Additionally, you need to keep in mind that you still need some source of CC or DPS-locked on to kill PD or aggressive play style Bokor (Similar to the Korean build that i mentioned earlier from the previous post). if you are planning to PvP against top 100.

Krivis/Druid have space in end game partys?? Priest/Chap have ress, stone skin and heal, and stone skin + ress is a must have for ET and others end game places. Dierv/PD have statues support and heal, its good for ET and others places too. But Krivis/Druid have only a burst DPS + heal, and you can replace then for a archer or a mage and get a real support + heal.

Thanks @niataomi for all the useful informations, I thought about it and I think I found a solution. I was uncertain about the first two and then I realized that I can actually try to merge them in C2>Diev3>Druid2, more support, more damage and less CD, I’ll loose a bit of PVP viability but I’ll avoid all the problems of multiple PDs overwriting stuff, what do you think will it be viable?

EDIT: Also how many points in Safety zone are enough? I’m trying to find a good balance with Cure.

Personally, you will gains more benefits from Plague Doctor skill tree with Healing Factor, Bloodletting, and Beak Mask for defensive play style, but this will work extremely good in PvP Battlefield than Plague Doctor due to Shape Shifting/Transform (Speed buff), Telepath (Power CC), Sterea trofh (Invincibility buff) with powerful ground control from C3 Diev and C2 Cleric.

P.S. 1-4 points into Safety Zone is more than enough due to attribute Block Count! This way, you will have more healing boxes + extra number of hits for Cure.

C2 Clericl > C3Diev > C2 Druid This is how i image your build! Carve Vakarine and Statue of Goddess Zemyna is pretty underrate and you can easily cake these two skills off with Teleport scroll and mana potions instead.

Also, have you ever considering running C2 Diev + C1 Krivis instead? C1 Krivis is as good as C2 Krivis and you will have an extra ground-control tool like Zaibas and Aukuras for fire resistance against Meteor + accuracy debuff. (And Daino too!)

C2 Cleric > C2 Diev > C1 Krivis > C2 Druid

Overall, it looking pretty good! Let us know how your journey goes as you leveling up! :'D

I hope this answer you questions.

I tried today but after playing swordman, wizard and archer I must say that this one is a real pain to level up :frowning: Dodges, resists, take the enemies on my tiles every time, etc. isn’t really funny. I’ll try to reach Diev1-2 at least and then I’ll decide what to do, thanks for all the help!
