[HELP] find the way to dragoon

Now, My class is Sw 2 > Hop 1 > Cata 1 and I will change to rank 5 soon. Because I love 2H Spear and don’t want to play like swap weapons then I change to Cata at rang 4 for equip that 2H spear. (It will be pleasure if you not advise me to play PEL class)

So I have to make some decision between two ways.
1.) Sw 2 > Hop 1 > Cata 1 > Hop 2 , 3 > Dra
2.) Sw 2 > Hop 1 > Cata 1 > Cata 2 , 3 > Dra
I don’t want to play like Sw 2 > Hop 1 , 2 > Cata 1 , 2 > Dra anyway. Just want to max some class for get all of class benefit.

If I choose Hop Class

  • Finestra Skill for Cri Chance and Duration time.
  • Spear Lunge for [Pierce] that will support Dra.
  • Stabbing [I don’t sure but seem like [Restrain] can apply for this skill]

If I choose Cata Class

  • Trot, for fast run.
  • Earth Wave and Doom Spike, huge DMG.
  • Rush, that why my choice is Cata 3

I know that this game not have the best choice or suitable for play style. That why I love to play this game for customize my char. And I really enjoy to play my current char too.
But if you can give me some Pros & Cons for each class it would be highly appreciate.

Thank you in advance for your help

Anyway I would like to apologize for my bad Eng skill, If not clear some above sentence.

Usually when they pick Cata, they go all the way to C3 or dont pick Cata at all. You can check with others.

Yes, But I already picked Cata.
And I saw some video on youtube that they pick Cata but also use Hoplite high level too. So maybe it will work :3

That it’s inspiring to me.

Well can’t say it won’t work cause this game has a lot of class builds… Just that without C3 Cata u wont be able to up time Trot 100%.

You can check for the common Cata build from Cathexis and Authentist. It’s under the pinned thread.

I’m going for C3 cata to get this:

Going for c3 just for trot would be kinda stupid.

Yes, Rush and Trot VS Finestra and Spear Lunge
It’s hard to make decisions

Depends really on what your aim is in end game.

Consider that in endgame you’ll most often be wanted to tank and probably quite infrequently desired for DPS.

Hoplite gives you essential tools for maximizing damage as a Dragoon.

Cata gives you undoubtedly some of the greatest utility skills for PvP in the game.

It’s a difficult choice but the path is clear depending on what your focus is.
