Help choosing between Wizard and Cleric

I want to run a support build that mostly focuses on Buffs, Debuffs, and CCs for PvE.

Having trouble deciding between.

Wizard > Wizard > Linker > Psychokino > Chronomancer > Chronomancer

Cleric > Priest > Krivis > Priest > Krivis > Oracle

I love the supports of the cleric having so many buffs and debuffs but it feels like wizard has better CCs and I don’t really like the idea of using a melee weapon on a magic based class.

I have no actual experience playing this game since I never checked my e-mail for the key for the last test facepalm. So go easy on me.

Edit: Swapped out C2 Linker for C1 Psychokino

Hello.
Linker can level up very fast on grinding. Clerics can focus on INT, despite of their hibrid nature(Str/Int), causing a nice magic damage(not as nice as Wiz, of course).
Here’s a thing: Attributes may cause a HUGE change on gameplay. Keep this in mind while building your character and choosing its skills. For example, you can get some CC on Cleric’s skills, and some debuff on wiz skills, just by buying one level of its attribute.
So, I think you’ll have to watch some videos(about skills) and choose the one you like more. Hehe.
I hope I could help you, somehow.

both seems fine for your play style
Did you check dievdybris/pardoner skills and attributes?

I have. The effects seem nice but I didn’t like the functionality. Specifically the whole statues thing. I like a party that can stay on the move. Sacrificing that mobility for a buff that requires you to be stationary isn’t something I would opt for unless I knew it could potentially make my party unkillable like the notorious “bubble trains” in Destiny for example. And while powerful, it does eventually get boring.

As for pardoner, I do like what it offers, but I find the alternatives to be more appealing.

Bear in mind, I haven’t played the game yet and all this stuff is subject to change. Just because I made up my mind doesn’t mean I don’t need you input so throw it at me.
