none in this thread so far have played the game, but 2 of us are actively discussing builds in other threads;
apparently it is still possible to figure this stuff out 
no one knows what you want to do with your builds, so don’t make others do your homework for you.
That’s part of the reason I’m trolling most of those threads.

Well, so far, what I wanted was a spear/shield cataphract, so I took a peltast.
It seems that 2H spear cata is what I’ve mostly seen from other people. Keep in mind that I’ve not seen many.
If you want detailed information on builds, though, I think you’d need to set what kind of cataphract player you want to be.
As of now, I’m just stressing over stat allocation for STR/CON/DEX. And homework, of course.
yeah i tried shield too but ive found out 2 hand spear is better so i wasted a job…that swash buckling err
Im a STR DEX build and Rank 3 Peltasta then Cataphract. The reason I chose this path its because for Centurion. The shield thing for centurion is very helpful and the only draw back I see from it is you cant use centurion skill while on mount(Which is by the way ridiculous) When you go Peltasta Then Centurion you have to keep in mind Weapon switching is a MUST. Simply self explanatory… A lot of skills are better when using two hand spear. But when you go defensive you go for shield.
