Greetings dear community,
I’ve been following the game since 2014 but have lost track of it after a personal drama shortly after release.
I’ve been reading the news on the facebook page and visited the website regularly since I’ve missed the game a fair bit. The combat changes and the fact that a lot of the earlier problems have been fixed by now encourage me to get back into the game, but I’d like to wait until the combat changes are applied.
I thought it was going to take some more time, but I’ve heard from different sources that they are already in effect, which leaves me confused since many players tell me otherwise again. Maybe they’ve only been applied to kToS so far? What’s the current status on the combat changes?
I also noticed I’ve just missed the character reset event - which I don’t mind too much. Coming back into the game would be a nice opportunity to start a new character, at least if you’d recommend me to. I’ve been playing swordsman until now and don’t really know how much of an effect the changes may have, so an opinion would be nice.
Lastly, one thing that turned me off quite a bit ever since CBT was the community problems. I’ve seen flamers and xenophobic people everywhere, not to mention that people were extremely asocial by the time I’ve left. I had a really hard time getting to know anybody, whenever I was talking to somebody they straight up ignored me, which for an MMO is very unfortunate, and without friends being interested in the game, being alone all the time was the final push for me to look for alternatives.
But I imagine a year after, the community might have changed, the randoms that flooded in from steam may be gone and fixed groups may have dissolved a bit. Maybe share your experiences in these concerns.
