3 months ago I was so excited for the launch of this game, I was there on day1 of founder’s access and began dabbling in several different builds. Initially the game was a lot of fun, even with the bugs and bots it was entertaining from a solo standpoint.
At this point I have taken 3 different builds past Lv 250 and I have basically lost all desire to even log in to play, I’m not going to spend 2 hours in storage to grind 1 lv, im not an wiz3/ele3 so no-one wants me for earth tower, and im sick of farming silver, I already have all the high end items.
I really hope IMC does something soon to breath life back into this game, I do want to continue playing but am struggling to even log in to solo my daily dungeons.
The stranglehold IMC has put on the players in their failed attempts to slow down rmt activity has crushed this game, there is cuurently more botting and real money trading here then 75% of most mmos out atm. I am so sick of waiting 2 days for my silver on the market, it basically forces people to save up talt for a month to get worthwhile items because people are so hesitant to even use the marketplace. I literally see more bots then real players, and this is not an exaggeration, please visit vedas plateau, stogas plateau, delmore hamlet, dvassia peaks, tenet church, you get the idea.
This isn’t an “omg the game is dying” thread, its just a “please god give us something other then another chicken suit or loading screen” post. I do want to stay, but IMC is making it very difficult, thank you.

The biggest issue with this game honestly , and not a lot of people address it, is the Templar class. It limits communication to a select group of people, and pretty much turns guilds into PvP ( which a good chunk of players are not interested in ) because of the high lvl requirement for Templar.

mine is still 178
I still say a big issue with the game is just lack of social interaction. There is nothing fun and simple that pulls people together in a collective area to just goof off. That kind of thing ends up feeling like a part of the game, giving people a reason to log in passed questing and grinding. It gets role play groups going, guild/personal drama, friendships, etc. Ragnarok had it at South Prontera because of dead branches (an item that spawns a random monster with a low chance of spawning one that wipes everyone on a map), Wakfu has it with the boats that connect the nations which ended up being the PvP area, etc.
The bad thing is with the way the maps are designed there is no where that actually pulls players to just hang out from levels 1-280. Really there is no need for social interaction at all until 200+ beyond dungeons and Demons/Dinas. You could say the cities, but most people are just passing through or getting likes, which to top that off, we have three central cities generally pulling people everywhere.
I’m not sure how IMC could try to pull people together for fun in a general, every day kind of way, but I do hope to see something unique for ToS.

i struggled like u OP.
and i finally lost my whole interest in my lv 200 sth char.
no longer log in for 2 weeks
Why don’t you try new build? Why don’t you try leveling up and questing on maps you haven’t been yet? Or completing every collection? Or just sharing your in-game wisdom to new players and chatting with them?
It’s not the developers fault that your character maxed out. There will always be some kind of ending in the game. The key to enjoying MMO’s is to enjoy together!
You can try… but it gets repetitive after awhile…and boring…
Unless u like theory crafting…or planning to make an alt to farm dungoens… then i suggest not
This is coming from someone who has 6 chars =p
The problem is that people tried new builds with the kToS patches in mind, which haven’t come.
I leveled 6 or 7 characters to around 100 trying to find a char that I like, I can’t see the low level maps anymore. I know it doesn’t take much time to reach 100, but I can’t be bothered to do the quests again. And I think I saw every map and did every quest that exists up to that level.
I tried to finish as many collections as possible while leveling my last char, but a lot of them need items that are just not fun to farm. Low drop chance coupled with rare monsters and bad respawn.
And sadly, I hardly ever meet any players outside of cities, mostly just bots.
Why don’t you try leveling up and questing on maps you haven’t been yet?
- But we explored all maps for quests and achievement when we reach lv 230+ where else can we go?
Or completing every collection?
- But many collections requires some 0.1% drop rate item from some 10 per 1 min respawn mob and adds you 5 hp recovery bonus or similar
Why don’t you try new build?
- But i can’t join ET if i’m not building a support wiz or wiz3e3, no party invites me if i’m not a peltasta when i build a swordsman, no one likes me if i’m not cleric2 etc etc
Or just sharing your in-game wisdom to new players and chatting with them?
where are new players?

i was at that phase… but i rerolled another char…so at least i have something to aim for.now… till i have to get it pass 230.Then ill prob back to …login and farm dungoen phase =p
Exactly…nowadays that model/mindset prob changed along with the gaming community mindsets.
People usually have lesser patience/time to spend on these type of genres.
Games like Lol,Dota,Heathstone,Overwatch are gaining popularity cause there are very easy to pick up and theres lots of commotion and fame to gain such as esports …with more skill and less RNG…(cept Hearthstone)…
U’ll prob reach a point where u’ll give up… cause you can never out farm a bot XD… or a RMTer XD…jsut play it on ur own stride… or you will prob drop this game sooner or later
“If you’re ancient like 30.”
I feel like I just relived history a little bit. I remember signing up my dad to AOL when I was like 12 and having my head chewed off, threatening my arse, saying it was fraud… Ah, he knew how to scare me away from his credit card. (And for the record, he’s a teddy bear with scare tactics.)
Good times.
They don’t want to put Content on maps between 230-280 simply cause people need to socialize via PARTIES, rather than SOLOING EVERY FCKING MAP. Then people complain why they s*ck at Earth Tower, and pray for kTOS teams to clear ET cause people on here is afraid of trying ET with whatever class they built.
TL;DR:
Game is way too anti-social, needs reworking. Improve party grinding, rather than solo content.
Back on those days we were using dial up… with the occasional these
