So I got this after finishing a mission, he said “LOL Peltasta Doppel”, so I inquired as to what his problem was.
I’ve had this happen to me and a friend on more than 1 occasion in regards to taking PELT C1.
Any idea why people feel so entitled to Highlander? Or are they just bad eggs? I’m shaming this guy out since it was totally unprovoked.
There are people who search the optimal build routes for things and then harass people who do anything different.
So Highlander>Peltast From a Dps stand point yes.
But you obviously don’t have to take that route.
Yeah, but going out of their way to abuse people who don’t pick their ideal build. Sigh.
When my and my friend were in lower dungeons we had a guy who went Wiz3>ele for the typicals Wiz>ele>warlock build harassing a guy that went wiz2>linker>ele. We just started letting him die a bunch and pointed out the fact that the other guy took linker was making him more useful then his “ideal build”.
While i agree optimal builds exist, how good a player is does count for something as well.
They are just bad eggs. My most viewed build on the Tosbase skill simulator doesn’t use Peltasta but that doesn’t mean I didn’t want to use it because I found it weak etc.
I actually prefer Peltasta skills over Highlander ones in late game PvE. Of course just for swash buckling. Although I can confirm Highlander does better for DPS obviously since it gives you an offensive moveset.
He’ll take back his words most likely once he finds out people actually don’t like him because he doesn’t have Peltasta ironically.
Well, cant see any good reason to go wiz2, but i wont judge anyone who does, im very much against elitism myself.
those people dont know how Highlander’s attribute really works. You could have corrected him on “tonns of damage” part.
Best thing to do is just mute people like this. If somebody’s so worried about telling you how wrong you are in something, you’re not going to be able to argue against them, they aren’t interested in seeing reason or considering other ideas.
MMOs like this always attract a lot of immature and ignorant children. Look at global chat, it’s overrun by racists, xenophobes, and trolls. I can’t remember the last time I saw a actual BR in chat, but every 5 seconds somebody’s complaining about them like it’s a real issue. These people make up reasons to get pissed - be it that they saw a Brazil player chatting to a friend, or a player who didn’t do what they think is the smart build route. It doesn’t affect them, but for some reason they feel the need to convince themselves it does affect them.
