Have everyone tried dual log in?

have everyone tried dual log in of character yet? is it possible? (for those who have created 2 character already)

when I saw the feature about making buy-in shop open even if you log out, I was expecting that you can somehow made dual log in, where you let your character open a buy-in shop then you play your second character.

this is about those who has Squire on their account… it would be a good idea where you can set your Squire to open a repair shop and keep it open when you select character. by doing that you second character actually can use your Squire repair shop too.

thanks I guess I knew what job I choose for a 2nd character

Is it possible? Yes.

Should it be possible? No. Or else people will just make Cleric 3 / Priest 3 on the side to buff and heal their actual character.

Going to do @STAFF_J here because something like this needs to die. Right now.

 what do you mean by that, I’m sorry I don’t know if there is a skill from cleric and priest that allows them to open a shop to do healing? please explain what you are talking about.

You could just party yourself and have your own cleric following your own character around, providing heals and buffs to yourself. You’d never need to interact with anyone.

I dont care about opening a shop and playing, but believe me that’s NOT what a lot of people would be dual logging for.

Is it even possible ?
To do an actual dual-login (have two characters logged at the same time and able to use/move both) you’d have to open the game twice, which isn’t possible in a legal way ?
Also you would need two accounts/lodges on a same server ? Is that possible ? (just asking if it is indeed possible, not how to do it, let’s not give ways for people to do that XD)

The dual-login they were talking about isn’t an actual login. It’s the fact that you can open a shop with a toon, log off, then log on another character. Since this game has an “shop up even when off” option, it means you can go to your other’s toon shop. But it’s not an actual dual-login or anything.

It’s not actually dual log as in play 2 characters but rather you log in to open shop then log in another char to farm
The dual log only work if one is opening shop
You can’t log in 2 characters to run together on the same account at the same time :3

All vendor work even after you offline or logoff to switch to play other character in same account.
If you mean something else other than this it’s not work.

Then it’s not a dual log. That’s just a game feature of having an offline shop.

Stop calling it dual log when that’s not at all what this is.
Dual log: Loging in two different characters at the same time. With the offline shop you’re not logged in on both so it’s not dual logging

Having a toon logged in as a “shop” while another toon on the same account go still play is a POSITIVE FEATURE.

What the vocal minority in this thread is freaking out about is the prospect of “Multboxing”, aka: multiple clients at once.

Some, very vocal, people don’t understand multiboxing so they immediately go nuclear when they see anything hinted as such.

NOTE: Multiboxing is NOT what this thread is talking about, move on.

Not my fault, if people claim they can dual log, then that’s what that means.
This isn’t dual logging, so it shouldn’t ever be called that.

Yes the offline shop is a positive feature.

I dunno, it “could” be considered dual-logging though? Normally dual-logging is described, in software terms, where two instances of the same account can be used. <===This hearkens back to my enterprise level software design days

Multiboxing is explicit in its description about running multiple “accounts” in order to play them together.

Keeping in mind that multiboxing is near-impossible unless they use an active “assist” bot (which will be banned anyways if found).

I also don’t see third-party software that helps with multiboxing being able to even function with this game when they apply their anti-cheat software from the Korean CBT’s eventually.

While that is true, your character that has a shop open is not actually logged in anymore. The server record the position and places a static avatar in its place with the shop open. Your client no longer has any connection to that character, and you can’t influence it in any way. Actually dual logging would imply you could still completely take full control of both login instances.

It’s misleading to call this as such when an actual dual log would be more in line with multiclienting

Ye I guess that’s true by definition.

i see someone got 2 key around… nvm, my hopes already off for this game. hope you who got 2 key around and able to do login got banned ip and banned forever from the game

The only problem whit that is for Lan House shared IP, or peaple who live together and share the same connection to play.

Did he messed up the wordings ? Sure he did , he is to blame for that and that only. But you didnt make past the title of the thread , reading is a fine skill to have to use forums. You are at fault here for not reading.

Now back on topic.

Oh great to know you can vendor stuff while playing other characters.

But what if I make a Squire, Add a shop right outside the dungeon , Can my main use him to fix my party broken gear while we do dungeons? I would guess yes? Thats actually very profitable lol.

Another question, Lets say I have like 5 squires alts, Can I leave all of them in each of the entraces of every dungeon while I’m leveling my main?

I haven’t heard or seen anyone do more then 1 vendor online at a time yet, but it would be interesting to test.
