Has the Class and Rank in the game changed?

I was curious if the game had changed the Skill and Rank. From reading on older posts, on how, Once you pass a certain rank, that Rank is no longer Accessed If you go swordsman C2, it locks you out of Highlander and Paltesta. (or so the forums said)

Though Now I am kinda seeing builds out they can go into C3 Swordsman and then Highlander. or Barbarian

Just curious if that is just a bug skill builder or if it actually possibly to do such a thing?

They changed it. You can now get any class at any point after you reach the rank required to advance to it.
