Well, itâs not like Musketter really benefits from it, Muskets are stronger (or to be precise will be stronger once we get good ones, last time I checked the only ones where still White trash) so thereâs no reason to use the skills with a gun instead of switching weapons for them.
Much like how currectly only Fencer can use Rapiers, we can speculate that Matador will too which as likely as it is itâs not confirmed.
Fine, then we need a Devil Hunter Class that can use Dual Pistols and a Greatsword. Heres yer diversity. lulz
well people also protested to allow dragoon skill to be usable while mounted and IMC did implement it.

The Dragoon thing was clearly a lack of animations for all of them tho, there was never an announcement of them never being able to do them mounted but yes that some skills where not entirely finished.

Snipers in RO can become Machineguns themelves so itâs a bit redundant. Not to mention that the Gunslingerâs deal was being the one class specialised in gunz iirc, in ToS you gotta build different braches of your class tree to use more weapons.

Nothing stops you from getting a rank in Schwarzer Reiter for guns though, just swich weapons, itâs easy to tell at this point that IMC wants Archer to be as unnecesarely technical as possible, which includes weapon switching as can be seen in Archer being the class that needs it the most to make builds completely viable, like, why arenât Archerâs ofensive skills, literally from an obligatory class, universal?
Seriously what is the logic behind that besides making things harder for Archers.
It opens up more option in the current roster of available classes that can equip pistols. Swordsmen have the option to unlock 2H swords and Spears in other classes and infact they can even unlock pistols. Musketeers being a gun class has more right bear a gun. or 2 akimbo style if the system permits it but im not asking for that.
Compare the dificulty of the classes as sponsored by the character creation screen itself, Archers may as well have the bar full while Swordsman barely has a bar to begin with in the ââDificultyââ area, and with reason, IMC is clearly doing it as part of the design of the class tree.
As far as I know the pistol for Corsairs were also requested by the korean community to make them feel more like Pirates. IMC already had the concept of pistol for musketeers class in GE and from this picture made by IMC themselves.
The idea is already there, Im just supporting it.
As I said, the only reasoning at this point is that IMC loves to make the life of an Archer hard in weird ways.
Right now you have to use weapon swap if you want to use your early classes skills, i donât like it but i can get used to it, allowing some skills to be used with pistols seems viable but you would have to switch weapons to use Snipe. Some plausible changes would be making some Archer skills (Multi Shot at least) and all QS skills available with muskets changing their description/name. For example Stone Shot could be âThrow Stoneâ and require no weapon to do so. The description of Multi Shot now says âQuickly fires a number of arrows at a designated areaâ could be just âQuickly fires at a designated areaâ and so on.

Even if they does not make some of the skills be used with a Pistol,
they could implement skills that makes use of them.
Or maybe even make so the player can alternate between
Rifle and Pistol during combat.
Arg I think you guys missed the fact that pistols are archers weapon and they dont really need a passive to use it(as far as I know , well I at least didnt find a class with the attribute to use pistols like Corsairs). Plenty classes can use their skills with a pistol in hand:
All archer skills
All Ranger Skills
All Qs Skills
All Sapper Skills
All hunter Skills
All Wugushi Skills
All Scout Skills
All Rogue skills but Backstab
All Falconner skills
All Reiter skills ( obviously)
Cannonner , Musketeer and Fletcher have weapon limitations

Is a better Arde Dagger that most archer classes can use, I would gladly use a pistol even though Iâm not a Reiter.
Has there been any news on what rank 1-6 class skills wil be usable with muskets? because tos base still doesnât have muskets listed on the stances except for musketeer?
oh that would be interesting to know. The same skills that can be used with a pistol can also be used with a cannon, but as you said so far no skills can be used with the musket but the musketeer skills. It would be cool to see how multi shot would be with a musket.
Yea im hoping multi shot will work, but the lack of info makes it hard to even try to plan a build.
Deploy Pavise and Scatter Caltrops are usable with a Musket too.
Edit: Besides that nothing besides universal skills, we gotta switch weapons a lot as an Archer eh.
Multi shot with a musket will be a polite way to make ppl dance with a rain of bullets, just like the movies, rs
