Gun Ho and Concentrate

Hi i have hoplite 3 sw 3 goon 1 lancer full str

early ppl said about gun ho is better for full str builds… but seems like gun ho gives me just 1k of dmg per hit

while concentrate works like a blessing… anyone can say something about?

i think you should go Gun Ho since you said you are currently full str

concentrate scales with dex so you’re not really getting the best out of it and it add a flat damage

while Gun Ho adds physical attack that will benefit more as you get better weapons and skills

When i had concentrate max i had something like 1k of concentrate

Gun ho is just better if u have nice gears??

i just have catacombs pike+7 and nyx set

Gungho adds to skill damage formula not only AA. Gungho is generally better than concentrate, the downside is you loose physical defense too.

Gung Ho is better with large skill modifiers which are generally single-hit skills. Even if you are full STR, Concentrate is better for builds that rely heavily on multi-hit skills with low skill modifiers, since the counter for Concentrate only subtracts 1 for the first hit of multi-hit skills. This allows you, in some builds, to get around 50 hits with Concentrate bonus. If you are full STR and you use single, heavy-hitting skills like Murmillo or Lancer, you are better off pumping Gung Ho.

I have a Highl3-Doppel3 with High Str should i go for Concentrate?

More you are well geared, less STR is good i think.

And Concentrate is very cool for multi-hit PvP skills since it’s true damage.

Doppel is bad for PVP, my char is only PVE.

Doppel C2 are very strong atm with corsair + shinobi lol. And if Doppel C3 is not nerfed, Doppel can become the best PvP class R9 (if their is not abusive damage for anyone).

If you are PvE based, go for both gung-ho and concentrate

You have to be careful to use your Concentrate charges with your multi-hit skills, like Max Attribute Zornhau, Zucken, Redel, Moulinette, and Cyclone. Depending on your rotation (don’t know the tightest High3 Doppel3 rotation, having trouble balancing all the skills that combo together with the debuff timers they rely on), you’ll want to choose where you pop Concentrate carefully, but yes, HighDoppel has plenty of multi-hit skills to pair with Concentrate.

But should i go with Concentrate or Gung Ho?Lets say i have a good Weapon like Sarkmis.

Go full Gung Ho, forget about concentrate, it takes a buff slot and it is worthless Imo

Gung ho does way better for classes that have high atk %, such as Lancer.

@makreder

Say hi to my Concentrate

Gung ho is basic dmg addition, concentrate is like blessing, abilities scale with base damage multiplier, gung ho is still better than concentrate

I beg to differ, as both work uniquely and either has better usage depending on your build and your stat allocation.

As a swordsman 3:

DEX reliant / low% scaling / one-handed weapon / sub-weapons / multihit builds - work better with Concentrate (Corsair, Hoplite, Guardian-Peltasta)

STR reliant / high% scaling / two-handed weapon / single hit builds - work better with Gung Ho (Dragoon, Lancer, Highlander)

As for swordsman 1 and 2 I’d say that both are pretty bad but Gung Ho has the handicap since it is not limited to hit count.

Going DEX in any swordman build is a supreme fail, you either go 50 DEX 100 DEX rest in STR, it has been tested already, Gung ho is superior in any aspect, also there’s a pretty cute bug happening lately, the more dmg lines and buffs like blessing or concentrate you see on your screen the highter the chance you crash not only your game but your whole party’s game.

concentrate monster gem? :open_mouth: what is your character btw and stat allocation?

Ah, that’s divine might

I will send you a screenshot once I get access to the game but if I recall correctly I had 180 dex, 50 con and 110 STR

Thanks Anarth and your class build as well sir!

Just to close this discussion, neither Gung Ho nor Concentrate is objectively better than the other. Final word is that Gung Ho depends on high skill modifiers and a lot of STR, while Concentrate scales well for high DEX, but ALSO scales well with full STR builds so long as your main attacks are low skill modifier multi-hit skills.
