So have I understood correctly that now, once hamster have reached maturity, he won’t die permamently even if not fed at all? He would also not expire now?

Yup. During the breeding time you only need companion good to keep it alive. If its not fed then it will die for good.
After maturity leaving it hungry won’t kill the pet but it doesn’t eat companion food anymore. Instead it eats alfafa instead from guild missions though I have not been able to find out which one since only now the guild events are fully fixed which we are trying all bosses now.

Yeah, that was my intention to not spend time getting food for it at all.
We don’t know which one either and with all the bugs I’m not sure we want to feed those kiddos. Ah cruel world
