[Guide] Tanking, Murmillo and Rank 8

With your experience with shinobi, do you think that rodelero-shinobi-murmillo can be good in pvp? Or it just will be a pve build? The lack of corsair (to have a bunshin with shooting star) feels really painfull in a build like that, but i want to know if it can be usefull in a pvp focus, cause i really like the playstyle of these classes.

Some new end-game equipments for ‘our’ Murmillo:

For weapons we could swap between these two:

Finally some nice looking 1 handers and shield.

I think you can make it work with some practice. I doubt it can rank high without the game changer that is Iron Hook, but with some good CC support or if the other team doesn’t have Bloodletting then you should do some serious damage. Of course a proper PVP build will always outperform you but you’ll get your daily points either way so important thing is if you have fun with it. To me it seems like a fun build for both PVP and PVE.

Yes, its a game and we must find fun. But in all these games (MMORPGs) you need to farm to be better, you need to know that what are you doing is correct, that you aren’t wasting your time trying to access to late game content that usually is massive PvP or competitive duels.
I already have a character to farm some silver and sustain others, so know i need to give this caracter an objective to farm for my main character who doesn’t exist…
Making a character that wont be competitive is so frustrating, and i will quit like others… Reroll is real…

From what I’ve seen, Frenzy Slash is really hard to land so it seems really hard to setup your combos. You might do well against mage heavy teams thanks to Slithering if they don’t have Bloodletting but I think you’ll struggle against dedicated PVP swordies. Lancers can stun lock you with Rush and they have more CC if you survive that. Corsairs can lock you down for up to 19 seconds for an ez kill. The verdict is still out on Drag2 but I think they’ll be trouble especially if they go high DEX. You’ll probably do fine against archers though because of shield guard and using cloak to sneak up on them.

Which Peltasta/Rodelero skills do Murmillo enhace or make sinergy with ? :anguished:

Scroll down this page, check ‘attributes’ on cassis crista:

Hi guys, I’m building a Peltasta>(rank3)>Rodelero3>Shinobi>Murmillo and I am in doubt about choosing between peltasta 2 and hoplite for rank 3.

The choice of peltasta 2 would be by the skill Swash Buckling lvl 10 to have more aggro control. Rim / Umbo Blow lvl 6. High guard lvl 3 by passive (+50 def, + 330% dmg to umbo / rim).

Hoplite 1 would be by the Finestra skill that gives +50 crit rate and + 10% block. It would also be useful for permitting to use spears.

I want to know your opinion on which of the two choices will have the greatest potential in the end-game. Thanks.

You can also go Highlander, because some skills can be cloned by Shinobi too.

I’m not interested in highlander. Only peltasta 2 or hoplite as already said in the post.

I would go Pelt 3 if you intend to be the main tank.
The OP stated: even with Swash Buckling at max (lvl 15) swash buckling lvl 15 will have difficulty getting aggro in large rooms - so you will want it to be as effective as possible.

if you go pelt 3 rod 3 murmillo - no need to lvl cassis for pelt. you are going for pelt 3 for butterfly which is almost same damage as shooting star. meaning no need to invest on umbo/rim coz they’re trash. just lvl shooting/butterfly attribute to 10 and damge is almost same as headbutt/scutum

Can’t decide between:
Peltasta 3>Rodelero 2>Shinobi>Murmillo
or
Peltasta 2>Rodelero 3>Shinobi>Murmillo

What’s the biggest difference?
Peltasta 3 gives better Swash/tanking while Rodelero 3 gives more DMG?

Bunshin no Jutsu doesn’t mimic butterfly but it does mimic shooting star? Or am I wrong?

Just shooting star. If you are going shin never drop rod 3

any1 help me ?

sw1 > pelt 2 > rod 3 > murmillo
or
sw1 > pelt 1 > Hop 3 > pelt 2 > Shin > murmillo
or
sw1 > pelt 2 > rod 2 > shin > murmillo

???

none of them, better going sword>pelt>hop>rodeleroC3>nobi>murmillo, this is the best all around pve build, going pelt c2 is a trap, pelt c2 give nothing but weak skills you have everything you need in peltC1.
For me choose between peltC1 or C3, also murmillo use alot the debuff from rodelero so rodelero C3 or nothing

Not sure Pelt C2 is a trap, High Guard has a nice Attributes with Rim Blow and Umbo Blow.
High Guard: Rim Blow Speciality
Applies your damage of [Rim Blow] to 250% when using [High Guard]. From Lv2, damage increases by 20% per attribute level. x5 levels
And with Enhanced Peltasta Shield Attack
While equipped with Cassis Crista, Peltastas’ Rim Blow, Umbo Blow, Shield Lob Umbo Thrust skill attack damage increases by 40% per attribute level. x10 levels
I think Pelt C2 is a good choise.
And you can use Five Hammer from lv 40 until 315 Weap.

Not forgetting more Guardian - gives nice bonus defense, more Swash Buckling for far more mobs to aggro.

But to be honest Rim Blow is pretty useless because of the push back. Only good if fighting bosses. Umbo Blow is useful, but not with Shinobi clones, because they can not do High Guard to gain the attribute.

Overall from my experience, Pelt 2 is mainly useful for the Aggro and Defense Buffs. You get more than enough attack skills with Rode/Shin/Murm.
