[Guide] Swordsman's Battle Manual (All classes) - By Cathexis

Actually it’s applied after crit, just as most damage amplifying modifiers.
With 1500 Patk added and maxed attribute it will deal ~20k damage(on crit) at level 10 vs 0 defense enemy.

Though it’s MUCH lower on bosses(like 5k at most).

And Seism is REALLY good.

Barbarian3 is really good with Doppel C2 as both of it’s buffs are doubled by DOV, so it’ll most likely outdamage High3 when mobbing. But High3 is still better on bosses. It’s just about the playstyle.

cleave is the most powerful attack i tested at barbarian. i had a cleave lv10, somehow it hits until 14k, but cd is the problem. my krToS shinobi build wasn’t good enough. skills went down cd easily as hexen dropper, dust devil, seism, cleave, helm chopper are all high cd skills.

actually swordman classes need some buffs than nerfs. i already complained a lot in previous posts. @fitzfeliz scolded me a few times. yea, i have to admit there are some good and strong builds at swordman. but 80% of non popular builds are rather weak or rubbish.

Oh i thought we were calculating this flat, not with Warcry/Frenzy buffs
Yeh with EVERYTHING factored in, i could see it hitting 10k

My apologies @celexample

what do you guys think of this build??

any feedback is appreciated

Can’t ever go 10k you say?

(1364 * 3) * 2 = 8184 critical

  • with 0 physical attack and no weapon

Versus mobs with Warcry 330 + Frenzy 200 (530 both)

(1894 * 3) * 2 = 11,364 critical

  • with 0 physical attack and no weapon

  • 2 overcharges. 21 second cooldown, gives 50 crit rating.

  • AoE +3 (8 targets with innate 4 from Swordsman class + 1 from 2H sword)

It’s bad? Ok.

Do you even math?

Most of your skills cant be used… without weapon switching which gives your build no synergy…

Also, any reason why you didn’t put points into any fencer skills?

So you even read?..
Like at any point… ever?..

the real fall off skill from barbarian is seism.

Sneaky replies and sneaky edits is how you do things then?

Actually it technically deals 175% damage. Though second and third hits are countered with defense pretty hard.

Umm, it wasn’t sneaky. It was reply to my post, where I presented the math regarding the skill.

So no reason to take it offensively.

it was there before you replied, I edited it after i recalculated it.

I think a lot of skills from all Swordsman trees will fall off.

Most if not all skills are just flat damage with a few exceptions here and there.

Multihits scale the best but sadly Seism uses a weird mechanic for the 3 hits.

by 175% damage is that +175% or +75% dmg?

100% +50% +25%. So +75%.

But in fact it’s even less(because of defense). Though it’s still pretty decent until level 280, I think.

Yeh becuase hitting someone with 3 of Seism’s 1.7k hits is totally fair xD…
that would OHKO a Mage or Acher in pvp, lol…

we just hope IMC will rework on those classes.

Rodel… Please get a buff .-.

Looking at Fletcher3 0cd Barbed Arrow.

And then at 25x multihit Magic Arrow.

And then noticing 150% damage 0cd AoE cross fire.

Going a little off-topic here but:

Here’s a level 5 Cleave hitting 2 mobs stunned.

It crits one of them, but not the other.

He is using 1H spear at level 250 with a high DEX build.

He’s a Templar.

Sword > Sword > Barb > Barb > Hoplite > Doppel > Templar
(I think his build is quite terrible, but it’s his first character ever so…)

Skip to 36:00 minute mark to see a bit more of Seism level 5 in action.

He doesn’t use much of Warcry / Frenzy so this is a bad showcase of that.

His character is pretty bad overall if you ask me but just wanting to show how even with the crappiest of builds and using 1H weapons and a shield cleave can still hit quite well. It’s not amazing, doesn’t compete with Dragoon or Doppel, but in my opinion easily competes with Highlander.

If you want to see Pounce, Cyclone, Seism in action in a dungeon I have a video of a Doppel C2 having some fun. I don’t know his exact stat build or skill build and it’s a dungeon with others in it so hard to tell.

He’s much lower level than the guy in the picture above but hits much harder, provided of course this guy is in a dungeon and enjoying buffs etc. but still.
