[Guide] Leveling [No Grind] When to use Cards

This guide is a step-by-step on where to level and when to use or save cards, with little to no grind.

[EDIT] I am taking the Guide out and leaving the links for Reddit and Docs version. It will make updating easier for me.

###TIPS:

  • Map 100% explore gives 3 cards (mandatory).
  • Monster diary achievements gives 1 card (suggested).
  • When doing dungeons, make sure you use Search for Party option (mandatory). You gain 600% additional bonus EXP.
  • Use your Exp Tomes while doing dungeons for extra bonuses (suggested).
  • For better quest chain, start at Klaipedia (suggested).
  • Turn on token, it grants you extra 30% exp from killing monsters (mandatory).
  • Blue shiny monster gives you 1 to 1 and ½ level if you’re in their level range. In case you see one, kill asap. (Silver and Gold shiny pokemon gives extra loot, kill those too)
  • STR/DEX builds should buy Sacrament and Blessing (and Weapon Buff) in town. They cost around 1k each and last for 1 hour (or 180 hits for Blessing). (suggested)
  • Also, always carry some firewood just in case.
  • Watch out for repeatable quests (they are marked in green).

    ###Comments:

Remember to do your class advancement quests while using cards! You might stop at a advancement: advance first and then continue using the cards.

If you’re a “high-dps class” you may find yourself leveling a lot faster than the guide (cause’ you butchering more monsters offcourse). Remember to follow the map’s sequence and use the spare cards at your will.

Check the Adventure Journal (F4) in every map and see if there’s any easy monster achievement in the area. Ex.: Zachariel Crossroads (map 78) has Hogma Captain (27 kills), Tontulla (67 kills) and Lepus Bunny Magician (22 kills). Really easy to do.

According to my research on Reddit and Wiki, a regular 5-man party gives you 220% bonus exp (45% for each player) while using Search for Party option at dungeons gives you 500% bonus exp (100% for each player). Always choose party finder for full run.

###Post-scriptum:
I found out lvl 11 cards to be useless right now.
[They give you ~1kk exp each. If you save 10 of those you get: 1 level at 250 or ½ a level at 260+. Meh]

After 250 you can start grinding at Storage.
At around 260-270+ you should start doing Earth Tower.

I saw many people asking “when to use cards?” or “should I use or save them?”. I started this guide to help a couple of friends. Did my math and testing. Feel free to point out any mistakes. Use it at your own will.

The guide turned out a little hard to see/ugly on the forums. And it is a really long guide. I am leaving it on Reddit and Docs only.

I will be updating the guide with some minor tweaks later.

Thank you for this! I’m not at all a fan of the grind,so this will come in handy for my other characters [already at 174 on my main having to rely on dailies].

I’ll also probably stop when the questline ends and just do dailies until new content is added and shift focus on leveling my alts. Not about to grind for 50 levels,I can wait until more is added.

gooooooood guide m8 keep up

It’s a good guide.

One thing to point out is that i strongly recommend to do 145 dungeon until lvl 190, then you can directly go straight to the lvl 190 dungeon.

I’m lvl 217 right now and that’s my advice. I could not test all the dungeons but many friends of mine who are 280 told me that most of the 145+ dungeons are ■■■■ refering to exp given (like 160, 175, 200, 217, etc).

You get almost no exp from monsters if you are ~25 lvl above them, so once you reached 165, the lv 145 dungeon will give even worse exp than grinding outside.

So yeah, at that point you will have to use exp card or grind till 175 for next dungeon. Or just do missions everyday.

The only time you should hold your exp cards is class rank ups, because popping them and getting no job xp is a waste.

If you need 3m xp to get to level 50, and 3.1m to get to 51, you still need to get the 3m out of the way to get to 51. It makes almost no sense unless youre 5+levels over the maps youre questing on.

Monsters give pitiful exp unless murdered en masse, and I hadnt had to farm any monsters til 160.
HOWEVER
If youre planning on completing youre entire bestiary, (killing 80-150 of the same mob so you can get 1 exp card equivalent to the zone level) then sure, save your cards. This is far from a bad idea but its certainly mind numbing.

Holding the cards aside, good guide.

I stopped reading when you said Barbarian is a high DPS class

On my case just to add do not pop any exp cards when there is a good dungeon.

hey guys thx for the feedback

@dani_ahead I find the duns to be really boring and tiresome  but that’s my opinion. It’s up to the reader if they want to do a couple more duns or go back to the maps. I rather questing.

@phillkgaston in my experience, using the cards straight up would lock me into certain levels (like the 160 to 175 wall) or get me out of the maps level range. But i’ll give ur strat a try later

@Senpachie yeah! Enjoy the dun when you are enjoying the dun! Will clarify that on the guide later.

he meant doing dungeons from lv145, 160, 175, and 190 + mercenary mission and daily quest

Thanks for the guide. I’ll be using this from now on.

It’s 600% more than solo, but the way you put it, it looks like you mean it’s 600% more exp than in a premade party… which is wrong.

Nice guide after all, thx!

I’m currently at the “175 dungeon til 180” part and I can tell you it’ll take a ton of reset just trying to get that done, the xp is simply too low.

I will be fixing that! Thanks
