if I suffer any damage the melstis is interrupted , so I was wondering if I can solve this by using the guardian saint for someone of my group. The duration of the safe zone is very small.
Since it has charges too, once the charges are spent, it’s effect ends.
Oh, on second reread of your question. Yes, while safety zone is up, it will prevent you from being inturrupted while channeling meltis unless its an attack that still knocks you around while still in safety zone (QS sheild thing, sadhu oob explode and a few others)
Should work if you keep safety zone up.
But it’s not very effective.
@Kemonomimi
Have you tested it recently?
Because while that used to be the case post icbt2, it wasn’t true when I tested it around 6 months ago or so.
Might have been a bug, or intentional for the attribute/passive.
Deleted my cleric3 though, so can’t test it atm.
Since safety zone is a ground aoe, its not a timed buff on your person so that also runs out even with meltis.
As for guardian saint’s attribute, doesnt it only decrease damage taken until the buff runs out?
I havent really bothered with it since its complete trash but as far as i understand, any buff that you have on you with charges (blessing can be one tested this way pretty easily), it runs out when the charges run out regardless of if meltis is running or not.
Yeah but you want safety zone to ensure that the hits Guardian saint doesn’t redirect get blocked at least. GS should prevent a few from counting as hits to your SZ I think.
GS is unique in that it completely redirects any damage, cc & conditions onto your victim when it does trigger.
As for the buff, when I tested it only expired from duration regardless of skill level. For both me and the target.
But like you said no other charge buff works that way, and from earlier reports it didn’t use to act that way either.
(So a bug or unmentioned buff i guess?.)
And I had a hard time telling if the dmg reduction even worked period, the dmg ranges in the 50 dungeon where to inconsistent and it was getting my party members killed too quickly even with the attribute.
Yea. The easiest way to test all 3 things at once would be to get a priest1 with rank 1 blessing, and a rank 1 safety zone and bring a krivis3 to meltis spam him while he autos you and you auto his safety zone.
If blessing / saftey run out then that bug doesnt exist in the current build.
As for guardian saint’s charges working, i have no idea. My cleric3 didnt even bother with it since its been confirmed as trash since forever.
Maybe use Fade, it will at least avoid most of the ground spells, and will last until your melstis ends.
