Group Voice Chat

Communication is key.

That and typing down stuff in the middle of a raid is pretty time consuming. Most of the time, I find myself taking hits from mean monsters while I chat with my party.

Anyway, ToS will be available on Steam and Steam has a readily available Group Voice Chat option build into it. My question is, how many of you guys are interested in using the Steam Voice Chat while playing ToS? Or will most of you guys limit interaction with other people down to just inside the game? Or will most of you be using TeamSpeak, Mumble, etc. for your voice chatting needs?

By the way, here’s a guide:

Honestly PVP and guild vs guild is the only part of this game that requires voice chat, the dungeons and bosses are all simple enough that you’ll probably never have any split second coordination call to make.

Hmm… all right. Well what about long level grinds. You know, the ones that take about an hour or so to level up. How would you break the dead air? I mean sure you could play some music in the background but wouldn’t it be more fun to get to know your team and openly communicate with them while you spam the same key on your mouse and keyboard for an hour?

Sure, i mean having the option to use it is certainly a plus.

But as it stands i fell the game as a lot of problems to fix before the lack of voice chat becomes a real problem. Like actually balancing said PVP so Itos doesn’t become 70% Plague doctors and CON mages.

All right @Rennie245, thanks for your input

I’ll move this to Off-Topic as the focus is on voice chatting and related tools rather than TOS itself in particular.

Oh! Thank you very much for moving it to the appropriate category. And I apologize for posting this in the wrong place and for any inconvenience caused.

Oh no, absolutely no need to apologize. It’s my pleasure.

I pretty much always use Discord for in game voice chat.

I would generally use either skype, or teamspeak but to be honest almost any voice chat software would work.
