Grinding and EXP cards

Hi, new player here.

I’ve been reading a bunch of topics about leveling in this game.
Many of you experts seem to agree that this game does not require grinding, and suggest to save your EXP cards until later.
But quests don’t give exp. If you don’t grind, and you don’t use exp cards, where do the exp come from?
I’m not under-leveled yet, but just worrying about later.

Thanks.

I have the same question, found myself using all my Level 3 EXP cards and only got to level 75 and it seems i’ll have to grind on mobs for level 86, now i don’t want to use my level 4 cards up to level 86 because i’ll end up with the same problem, how can you avoid this?

I don’t really see the point in hoarding those exp cards too much. I’m only at lv109 but trying to keep them made it harder for me to progress quests in new maps so I’ve basically come to the conclusion that you should just spend them if you feel the need to level. This might be different later in the game when you run low on card sources though.

I also got stuck at lvl75 around the Royal Mausoleum section of the Klaipeda chain. My level was too low to activate quests. I grinded a level and unlocked the next set of quests, but the exp from these quests didn’t get me to the level for the next quests. Then I realized that there are other maps closer to my level with quests I could complete. I started from the north east exit of Klaipeda and I jumped 10 levels in a few hours.

For now it seems like you just need to find the right map chain to follow to keep leveling while using cards as you need them.

There is two kind of leveling here in this game:

  1. Fast and Grindy = do story&side quest move to next map. if got trouble on map levels then grind at grinding spots as what is suggested lvl range.
After reaching possible level u want after grinding there then go back to do quests. and repeat when you’ve been in a new grinding spot area. (By doing this, it’s pretty easy to level up and no more headache, but few cards to get on Vibora NPC)

  2. Slow and Safe, with Achievement rewards on Vibora = in this kind of leveling you’ll gonna be real slow on leveling cause you need to finish “Monster Killing Count” (F4 key, monsters tab you gonna see XXX/XXX counts) on every area you’ve been. While/After doing story/side quest on a particular map. (By doing this you have to check every monster kill count you’ve done, get the reward on Vibora NPC, “Every monster” you finished in kill counts = LVL “X” card dpnding on the monster’s level.)

Additional info on Vibora Rewards: Killcounts = 1 card, Map Exploration Complete (100%) = 3 cards. Achievement Ranks (F4) every 1 level = 5000 silver mostly.

And Lastly, they’re both good and will depend on your PlayTime

Have you been doing orsha quests (all including side quests)? Complete maps to 100%? You shouldnt have to grind til 146… Ive had several alts and never lacked exp cards and haven’t grinded at all.

What I do is to save SOME of it because it is quite useful for me to save when fighting a boss. Like, you have low HP and just use a card and you get max hp instantly. :stuck_out_tongue: But, I use it more because keeping your level unlocks some quests on some npcs.

Theres ~15 EXP cards on every map via side&main quests, sometimes a few more or less. Getting 100% on a map rewards you with an addional 3 cards for an effective 20% increase.
If you get those 18 cards and do you your daily 3 dungeon runs on level (and missions @Fedimian once you reach level 100) you can easily get to 190-200 without really grinding anywhere at all.
The first grinding part starts at ~215 with truffles. If you only play a small amount of time per day it might even be later due to extra missions & dungeons.

Kill quests aren’t required but help at 150+, do them if you feel theres a lot of easily killable mobs on the map.

I’m atm lvl 125 and I didn’t use many EXP cards yet. (Still got 46xLv1, 255xLv2, 488xLv3, 371xLv4 and 302xLv5)
So far the monsters on all maps that I’ve been on were always way lower than I am. I grinded from 36-50 at Nevellet Quarry F2 and then from ~68-90 at the Royal Mausoleum Constructors Chapel. Awesome grinding spots xD

Really? I find it a little hard to believe… Are you usually around the suggested level on each map? Thanks.

BTW how do I quote someone’s post?

Tbh Ive been usinf this guide when I was still new to the game and sorta still follow the sam path.
