I would like to read those buffs to the archer classes as well.
Can you send me the link, please?
[Skill Improvements]
- Archer Tree:
- âMissileâ attack damage has been increased vs. Large monsters
- âFull Drawâ and âHeavy Shotâ damage has been increased.
- Cooldown of âTwin Shotâ has been reduced to 20 seconds from 30 seconds.
There u go.
Thanks a lot!
And do you know if IMC buffed QS? They felt a bit underpoweredâŚ
These are the only changes/fixes to QS in recent patch notes. Other than that, not much else. Sry.
- Quarrel Shooter - Deploy Pavise and Scatter Caltrops can be used with Muskets.
- Fixed situation where Rapid Fire was activated at max level regardless of charging time.
Caltrops now makes an enemy fall if they step on them. Itâs a nice buff compared to iCBT.
Hmm Iâve made a bunch of archer builds to compare them before, and hereâs what Iâve found.
In my book, if youâre ranger c2 and can go c3, then go c3. ( Itâs better than archer c2 to be a ranger c3 ). Otherwise, donât take ranger c2. Ranger c2 is like Cryomancer c2, you take it because youâre going c3, no other reason. Youâve said that you want steady aim 10/10, but steady aim 3 ( for the attribute ) is the best point investment, more points donât give you much. The duration doesnât increase, and damage only increases by +2 per level. The attribute gives +100 damage.
You said that you donât see ranger c3 as a good thing to do, but spiral arrow is amazing, and bounce shot is a decent supplement when barrage is on cooldown. As a ranger c3 I never needed oblique shot - I just mobbed and used barrage / bounce shot, rotating their cooldowns to kill groups of mobs. Spiral Arrow will destroy bosses too, it just does a ton. It was a lot of fun just walking up to a boss and using barrage x2 spiral arrow x2 and wrecking it. This will be even more powerful now that archers have received a buff to their damage vs large.
Iâve run builds with archer c1 ranger c1 sapper c2 - barrage 5 is just fine, you donât really need 10. Itâs nice, but not worth missing out on another rank for.
So, Iâd say either go archer c2 ranger c1 -> ( something like scout would be decent for the +50% damage out of stealth ), or archer c1 ranger c3.
Also I noticed you didnât take heavy shot from archer c2, I would at least get lvl 1, itâs pretty amazing vs. plate mobs ( +50% damage vs plate ). On an old archer c2 I was running through the royal mausoleum 1-shotting every normal mob in there with heavy shot.
As for your STR/DEX ratio Iâd think youâre taking a bit too much DEX. If you have the swift step attribute, taking max 80-90 DEX leaves you with enough evasion and crit rate to do good damage, while leaving you lots points for STR/CON. If you donât get the swift step attribute ( archer c2 ) then Iâd go 110-120 DEX max. You want to slot your weapon with green gems to supplement your crit.
High STR is really important for an archer, especially since it scales so well the more points you put into it.
Thank you very much man! You really helped me a lot!
What about Archer c2 and Ranger c3? I am archer c2 and I would like take Ranger because the skin costume
Do You have something to say about Fletcher?
Fletcher is good, but I donât like it personally. Just my style of play ( I donât want to have to use a 2 handed bow ).
Archer c2 and ranger c3 gets you everything you want, but you sacrifice not taking something good at rank 5. I feel like if I went that build Iâd probably go Falconer, to take advantage of multishot 10 AoE ( the falcon can debuff enemies and decrease their AoE resistance, allowing multishot to AoE enemies, which is pretty strong ).
Also note that multishot gets its charge time decreased by half via an archer c2 attribute, so multishot 10 is as fast as multishot 5. ( I still found multishot 15 to be hard to charge fully in certain situations, and donât like archer c3 much ).
As someone who tested a lot of classes of the Archer tree. How much points do you think it is nice for CON? I donât use any and focus on (cheap) Lv.4 gems for HP bonus on armors as silver is easier to get than stats points.
On iCBT I got about 7k HP without CON at Lv.195 and didnât have problems with it but everyone I ask are spending about 10-30 points on it. But I really donât get it. The main thing imo is that it prevents you from being one-shot and increases your survival chance on PvP but I donât even care for PvP-oriented builds, lol.
